Blush Tea and Coffee St Pete — Restaurant in Saint Petersburg

This is going to be a long and very hyperbolic review because I’m so passionate about this shop.

I moved to St Pete a few years ago and were looking for local coffee shops. We found blush which was right down the street and my wife was super excited to see all of the tea options available. We decided to go one weekend and let me tell you, it was mind blowing.

At the time they had a seasonal item that was called the orange creamsicle cold brew. Orange is my favorite flavor so I was excited to try it. The sweet nectar of the creamsicle cold brew hit my lips and my life changed forever. It was one of the most, if not THE most delicious coffee items that I’ve ever tasted. I think I went back to Blush once every few days just to get it. I brought my family there and they also fell in love. I was so pumped about this drink that I wrote a long, passionate email to them about how it changed my life and how delightful it was. I wish I still had it cause my family and I joke about how insane it must have sounded and how the team must have read it and thought that I was probably insane. But I digress.

Even though that item is only seasonal, Blush always knocks it out of the park. My wife and I look forward to their seasonal drinks every month and look forward to the weekend when we can order more.

Between their coffees, teas, and phenomenally delicious breakfast sandwiches we can’t get enough. My wife and brother in law say that the cheese grits are the best they’ve ever eaten. However, not only are their food and drink perfection, but the staff is literally out of this world.

They all know me by name, including the owner, and that truly warms my heart. I call to let them know that I am outside for my curbside order and they immediately know it’s me before picking up the phone and are already on their way. Or if I walk in they greet me by name and it makes me feel super special. I once went to Localtopia (an outdoor vendor market) where they attended. When the owner and staff saw me in line they all flipped and were so excited to see me. They told my wife that I’m a super star and that everyone is excited to see me when they see my name pop up on an order. I literally smile like an idot every time I think about it. It is one of my favorite memories and, again, something that my family always brings up.

This is, hands down, one is the best coffee and tea shops, period....

A quaint little tea and pastry place tucked in a small plaza on MLK near 23rd Avenue North. It has quite a variety of hot and cold beverages. There are too many and too many flavors to name. It's best to check out their website or Facebook page. Along with all the drinks they also have delicious pastries. We had scones and homemade jellies. The scones were fantastic. The right combination of moistness sealed by a firm crisp exterior. The jellies were all homemade. They tasted like fresh fruit without that artificial sugary flavor. They had pear, spiced grape, triple berry and strawberry rhubarb. A great compliment. I felt the setting and atmosphere of the place was relaxing and rustic, mixed with industrial and very comfortable and inviting. They had these older cloth chairs as you have in a home surrounded by old fashioned decor with a touch of modern art. The dishware, glasses, and silverware were all olden style or replicas. The people were very pleasant and you felt like you were in an old brew shop where they created their own teas, coffees and other drinks. The surroundings made you just want to sit and relax a while and get away from it all. If you do want to "stay on the grid", they have old outlet boxes stretched across the middle of the wall to plug in your phone or laptop. If you are a coffee, tea or just an adventurous drinker, you will enjoy the Blush Tea and Coffee Shop in St Petersburg.
