The Country Road Chef — Restaurant in Salem Township

This is essentially a food truck and smoker that is set up across the street from Murphys. This spot is simply fantastic! The chef is very creative with the menu, and is always adding cool new smoked items, from smoked pizza on the weekends to wings and ribs. The sauces are unique and delicious…not flavors that you can find just everywhere. If you see smoke pouring out of the smoker, make sure to swing by for some of the best smokey meat you’ll ever have. My favorites are the double smoked burnt ends and the whole smoked wings with Spicy Smoked Barbecue Sauce. Rumor has it there will be a brick and mortar restaurant coming soon!...

The Country Road Chef is absolutely amazing! First of all, the food was amazing! Secondly, we were renting at an Air BNB in the area and there was a huge unprecedented thunderstorm/possible tornado that came through the area. We had placed an order right before for pick up and called to tell them we wouldn’t be able to get it due to downed trees and flooding. The owners brought the food themselves at closing and walked past the downed tree to get to our rental to bring it to us! Above and beyond customer service. The food is fresh and made with passion! Menu is diverse enough to please anyone looking for something smoked. Location currently isn't sit down and not the best for weather.
