I was excited to try a new burger place, and there was a lot of hype about this place! Sadly I was quite disappointed by the burger :///
I got the ultimate double & large cajun fries: The bun was alright, the veggies were fresh, and the cheese was good. However the burger itself had no seasoning at all, very very bland.
The Ashton special sauce had almost no flavor, I had to add their Cajun seasoned fries onto the burger to give it really any flavor.
That being said their Cajun fries are quite flavorful, not crispy yet tasty!
All the employees were extremely nice and they had the cutest gal I think I've ever seen working there!
It was also about a 15 minute wait, yet I was the only person there. Not awful wait time but not super quick.
I'd be willing to stop in again, but the burger definitely needed something
Edit:
Stopped in again a month later letting them kinda get into the swing of things. Wait was a little long but I snagged some of their bratwurst to pass the time, they have an entire meat area. 🤔 This time I got a mushroom&swiss and cheese curds. Those curds were incredible 👌🏻 The burger was pretty decent, better than the last one I had. The sauce was much improved! Still not much seasoning on the burger itself, but definitely an improvement overall! :)
I think a solid 4 is pretty fair, they really should work on wait times tho. That's the #1...
Read moreAs a matter of principle, I've determined it to be extremely disrespectful and dangerous to customers with allergies for restaurants not to list all the major ingredients in a dish, on the menu you order from.
In all of the menu items you see pickles, lettuce, tomato, and Ashton's Special Sauce are listed as ingredients. However, if you look at the Peanut Butter Burger, it's perhaps the only item without any of those ingredients listed; I naturally gravitated to this menu item as it doesn't appear to contain any of the ingredients I can't have and don't want due to allergies and preferences. But it does contain those ingredients. It's inexplicably the only menu item without them listed.
So, when you go, I do recommend the Peanut Butter Burger as it is quite tasty. Just be mindful that it will come with ingredients that are not listed on the menu you order from, and therefore you might have to have them remake your order the way you want it.
The service was fine, but the Salem location is right next to a high school. It was very loud, and impossible to hold a conversation.
For the price, you're better off going...
Read moreIm going to leave a generous rating considering it was only their second day being open and they mightve had more business than anticipated.
After a $40 purchase and an over 40 minute wait, its sad to say that the food wasn't worth the wait. I was excited for this place to open, especially after reading reviews on Facebook about how amazing their Delta location is.
I got the peanut butter burger and onion rings - the burger was fun, but dry. The onion rings didnt entice any uniqueness. My husband got the double cheeseburger, which was also incredibly generic and dry. And the worst of all, his beef tallow fries were not crunchy nor cooked all the way through.
For a business to be farm to table, I was expecting a higher culinary experience and instead received below amateur execution.
All in all, I miss Stan's, but I hope with time this establishment will grow and improve its customers experience...
