The city directly stated safety is not their concern in their Coed Softball leagues. A quoted response from a city official, clearly stating they do not care about safety: "I do not care about your video of the umpire or bruises" - Salem City Recreation department. They also go on to state the umpire did/would not enforce safety rules unless it affected the score. This was wild to me, since when should score be a factor in safety? One of the Unpires also stated (very loudly) after being asked kindly to enforce safety rules: "I do not care, shut up!" The pre-kindergarten dance class is a wonderful value at $30 for almost 2 months. They even provided a recital free of charge (no costume fee we just wore our own black outfit) and gave my little girl a carnation after. We are trying pre-school soccer next.
