Bogey's — Restaurant in Salina

Okay, this was an awesome stop! I was worried about the food not being great, because of some yelp reviews, but I thought perhaps they were just used to the taste of msg and fast-food additives. Maybe I was right or maybe it's just hard to make a good choice from the menu options. Not sure, but we were all glad we stopped here. I wouldn't call it fast food, but it wasn't horribly slow. The young man taking our order was nice, as well as patient. Given the menu, you can make 2 inferences: 1. hamburgers are their specialty, probably a better bet than chicken or whatever (but they also have a wide variety of fried foods, so the fricken could be really good, too) 2. Suped-up hamburgers are their specialty--so, a plain burger might just be...plain here. Go ahead and be adventurous! Zombie burger was awesome. The cheese that was stuffed into the poppers--or maybe it was the ghost cheese--was awesome. The Malibu sauce was yummy (but mayo based, so the hubs was not interested). Not especially spicy, but I'm very tolerant of capsaicin. My mouth was entertained and my belly was satisfied. The jalapeno burger was great, too! They loaded hubs' burger with TONS of japs, & they were good peppers. Hubs was pleasantly surprised with his burger. Pleasant heat for someone who enjoys about a 3.5 or 4 on a spicy-food scale of 1-5. Kids got cheeseburgers for 1.59. Great! We shared an order of fries, which were good. Maybe slightly tough, but tasted fine. I added a bit of salt, but they didn't really absolutely need it. Overall, we had a great meal for the family totaling less than $15. Then, we ended up getting ice cream cones and a mint Oreo shake, which was enjoyed by all on the outdoor patio. The kids liked the decor inside. Would definitely return here. Only thing holding me back from 5 stars is maybe speed, cleanliness, and fries that could be a little less chewy, but I can definitely recommend this little place for a tasty meal at...

I visited Bogey's for lunch and my experience was not so good. Knowing I'm not an out to eat person because my expectations seem to be too high in today's time. So I try to expect the best each time I visit a fast food place but yet again I was a little disappointed. I placed an order for a #1, #6, and a kids meal. Reallly simple I thought so I pay pull up and I wait. I stopped checking my food these days because i expect the place serving me to do so it's called customer service for a reason. And so I finally get my order about 12 minutes later awaiting on the side of the parking lot for them to bring it out and i drive off on my way home to dig in. I haven't had Bogey's for at least 2 years. And when I get home they slapped so much mustard and ketchup on the kids burger it was awful and forgot the order of fries to go with the meal. So I'm disappointed to say the least and yet again reminded why at all cost I try to eat in every chance I get because our service standards in the fast food industry has sunk so low that I can make my own burger and get whatever sides I want right in the convenience of my own home. I'm not knocking Bogey's I think it's a pillar place in our Salina community however if you're going to make customers wait for there food at least be courteous enough to make sure it's delivered right and leave nothing undone especially something as simple as an order of fries and the preperation of the meal itself. Bogey's is a great place they just missed the mark today I guess it will be another 2 years before I'm back again and I hope then they get it right. I love supporting my local businesses just want them to go above and beyond everytime they're providing service just because it's an expectation. Looking forward to a burger voted one of the top ten in Salina KS and so very disappointed. There were 4 of us my husband, myself and our two children. We ordered 4 burgers, an order of fries and onion rings as well as 2 orders of fried musshrooms. I ordered a chocolate shake with my meal and we received two with no other drinks. Assuming they give us those when our meal was ready. 2 groups of people who walked in after us received their food first which was disappointing but, when the order came the burgers were cold. We waited 25 min for our order that was 40.00. This was suppose to be fast food. When I went to the counter to inquire about the food roughly 6-8 employees were staniding at the drive thru window chatting laughing and missing that a customer was at the counter. When asked reply was rude. The young ahold that took out order couldn’t muster a smile for customers and I continued to be completely ignored by staff with every trip I had to make to the counter. They didn’t give us any of the fro ka we order with the exception of shake. No ranch for mushrooms, no ketchup on table. Each and every time I went to the counter I waited at least 5 min while all the employees stood at the drive thru window talking laughing, leaning against the counter etc. I am not that customer that complains I will just deal with it. This experience showed me a Clinical office manager who manages physicians and nurses that there needs to be some education done with this team regarding customer service because the customers were not important.
