Well..where do i start. I ordered Online to expect to be in and out therefore thats what a online order is....but no everytime i go they wait 30 minutes of having my order for me to physically get there to actually start making it. Next, i wait for a couple minutes of it not being ready and becaus it wasnt organized lining of people like always, theyre making everyone go in and out because theres no room to having online order people waiting. I can see the owner in the corner ccomplining to a staff to make us wait outside???? How rude!!!like not our fault you wont buy a digital real time tracking screen for online order details after being around for more than 20 years, or even a intercom system llke a cheap taco truck.....or buzzer. Something for convenience to not have customers waiting and moving around like musical chairs. They easily profit a couple thousand a day to establish a better system. I would say this to their face if ever given the chance just because theyve done this to me 3 times and ive seen 30 or so others go through the same issue. This being said i wont be ordering from here again. Not like they need my money anyways.............................

Hopefully in the future the (OWNER)will take into concideration tte customers opinions to ultimately recieve better reviews.

Order was placed 8/05/23 8:52AM for pickup at 9:17AM supposedly And left El charrito physically at 9:50 with a online...

AN UNUSUAL TAQUERIA: El Charito, I know, is very popular. BUT . . .for good reason(s). They make every food product that goes out the door fresh on the spot! Moreover, you can watch them make it. You can see what goes into it. You can customize your burrito any way you want it, build it stack it or put eggs or chili rellenos in. This place works on the democratic system: you get in line and 1st in line is 1st served. When you reach the ordering section you tell the attendant what you would like what you want on it and then you wait for them to make it or watch as they make it. You take your order after it's made to the check out with whatever drinks or chips you want. Pay for your order and leave, as this is not a dine in establishment. The place is clean but most importantly here for those of you who need to go to the restroom, go before or hold it, because you won't find a restroom accessible for public use in this restaurant! NO PUBLIC BATHROOM. My favorite burritos are the chili relleno or the green Chile Verde burrito they're both awesome. But my husband says the carne asada burrito is wonderful! My 2 grandchildren like the bean burritos and my son likes the chili Colorado, so I guess it's all a matter of taste which is the best burrito for anyone. Go and try out a few flavors yourself and you'll find out. With a small parking lot don't come at rush hour or it will be difficult to find a...

I was in Salinas for the weekend and was craving some Mexican food for breakfast. After doing a bit of research I seen this place. I knew I had to check it out. The location is in a primes area with tons of parking around the sides and a big parking lot in the back if dust doesn’t scare you off. Walking into the place the line seem big, but it went by pretty quick. I was looking at the menu the whole time and I didn’t know what to get because everything looked so good. I opted for two burritos and got a side of tortilla chips with their beans and rice and guacamole. They also sell various Mexican desserts. I got some Corridos de Sinaloa. 10 minutes later I got back to the place I was staying at and the food was still very warm. I got a Carne asada burrito, Carnitas burrito, a bowl, taquitos, chips and guac. Man, those are some of the best burritos I’ve ever had here in California. The bowl was very good and everything tasted fresh. As others say go. Go now. Add it to your list of...

Made a stop here during my pass thru 101 and saw how highly rated this place was so had to check it Out. Layout: The way how things are setup reminds me of Tacos El Gordo in Las Vegas except this one has 1 line but splits into 3 identical stations. Service: friendly staff and quick service, I was in and out in less than 10 minutes though that is with no line. Taste: I was a bit suspicious of the price for a burrito at first and turns out, I was correct since the burritos are small. 1 will satiate your hunger and 2 should be a good amount, as much as a commonly sized regular burrito but surprisingly, this was good! order 1 chicken and 1 beef burrito, both with guac and hot sauce. I really really enjoyed the soft tortilla! The chicken one though was white meat, not my preference but it was still moist enough meanwhile the beef was just plain ok, nothing to write home about. Overall, agree that it is better than your average spot but only worth a check out if in the area!

This place is a legend among locals and those who know the Salinas area. It started as a small neighborhood market selling produce, grocery goods, drinks, etc. It also had a small taqueria. Family owned for many years. The mother of the family can cook up delicious Mexican fare. The taqueria was so popular that it exceeded sales of everything else. Eventually the market was turned into food to go orders, and it has excelled. My favorite are the burritos. Carnitas are moist and seasoned all so well. Chilli Verde is spicy, as well as the costillas. They also had fajitas at one point, but no longer. Other meats include, chicken, chili Colorado, chicharon, al pastor, chili relleno, carne asada. The lunch crowd can be huge and a line out the door so be prepared for a wait. Try it I don't think you will be disappointed.
