Starbucks — Restaurant in Salinas

9/19/25- The atmosphere in this store has changed. I stopped in for coffee and some prep time before a business meeting. As soon as I walked in I noticed all of the baristas seemed on edge, even though they were making significant effort to be upbeat, acknowledge and welcome everyone, and were working hard…except one; a tall medium build, 20-something female with longish straight dark hair pulled back in a ponytail, perfect makeup. She stood in the corner to the right of the restroom area behind the counter with arms folded, scowling as she watched everyone else working. I sat down and reviewed my presentation notes. Feeling ready to present, it was time to go, and I and went to use the restroom. It was locked. I smiled at the staff member described above, said Good Morning, and asked her for the restroom code. She looked me up and down with distinct distaste (I’m dressed in a suit on my way to give a presentation). She demanded to know if I’d made a purchase. I said I had. She demanded I produce proof of purchase. I did. Finally got the bathroom code. There was ‘no thank you, ‘ or ‘have a nice day.’ Literally stuck her nose in the air and went back to scowling and watching everyone else work. Her vibe was definitely a downer for everyone else. Sorry if life isn’t perfect. It usually isn’t, especially these days, but there’s no need to be rude and condescending to coworkers and customers. We’re all just trying to get the day off to a good start. I feel bad for the others who have to work with that and won’t be going back...

This Starbucks is the closest Starbucks to me. And I try to force myself to like it but every time it gets harder. Not once have I ever gone and they’ve gotten my drink right. I waste my money on the wrong drink. If they were busy during the times and days I went I wouldn’t blame them, but they’re not busy. When I come to order the 2 employees will be on one register and they would spend their time laughing. It’s not like they’re low staffed or anything. They have five workers. How can you get my drink wrong if you’re not busy and are highly staffed. Also that one time I went to this Starbucks earlier in the year and I found PLASTIC A SHARP PIECE OF PLASTIC, in my frappe. I called multiple times, even went in and told them, they said they couldn’t do anything. This is so disgusting and disappointing. I have never been so unsatisfied with a Starbucks more than this. This Starbucks is the reason is started disliking Starbucks drinks. They’re also always out of supplies. How can you run out of almond milk? You’re located next to a lucky and a CVS. Step up your...

The Starbucks over here on North Main they're really kind of really poor because due to the fact they got to drive through that blocks the other Row for the cars to go in and out a lot of times the cars are backed up you have to try to go around and hope and pray to God another car is not coming around to hit you they ought to relocate that drive through another exit way for people to get through well I have to stand here and block the road for all the other vehicles they're...
