Monterrey Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Salisbury

Absolutely the worst treatment me and my family have ever had here. I eat here a lot we have most get together here, but tonight our server BERNARDO was the worst!! I suggest that if you get him you request another server, I generally am very happy with our servers. When I say he took 20 min to come take our order then totally ignored us until I kept having to chase him down for silverware to eat with refills were absolete until the end when everyone asked him to please give us some more, he brought only tea.. So half of us still got nothing. When we got to front he added 20% so in the 3 checks he got almost 45 bucks and when I asked him if he really felt like he deserved that his reply was it’s on your bill pay it!!! Don’t for one second think I wanted anything free !!!! I have money and I pd but to the loss of the restaurant cause me and all of my family (big) will not do it again. I run a business and it’s bad business to talk about a customer with another employee in front of them… your not the only one that...

Out waiter was exceptional - he was bilingual(and spoke awesome English). He was so cheerful, he brightened our day - we never had to ask for refills... we usually tip 20% if we get refills when we ask for them. With him - we never had to ask and we loved his singing in the kitchen pick- up area as he was always getting our refills before we had to ask for them. Our lunch was only $25.00(usually more, but we ate a light lunch) - he received a $10.00 tip. He should be employed by the white house, perhaps he could bring this country together, by setting the example for everyone. His willingness to be gainfully employed, and his courteous performance of his job, as he did with pride - were exceptional! Both me and my son went here for an evening meal. We both ordered the Mexican pelusa Texas edition. Was not as flavorful as in the past. The cheese was kind of watered down that covered it. Seem like they did not put broccoli and some other vegetables like mushrooms that other Mexican places do sometimes. Their salsa was pretty good. Their chips also good. Service was very decent. Where the problem was in the cost of the evening meal. Way too expensive for Mexican food. I'm not saying Mexican food should be cheap but it shouldn't be overly expensive either. Feel like this place has slipped quite a bit. There's quite a bit of competition in town now they should step up their game. Hope they will get back to how they used to be reasonable and definitely better quality food at...
