1Star - New review. It pains me to write this as I have bean going to the bean whole weekly for the last 4+ years. I have been turned / shooed twice now due to a private event. This left me in a bind as my schedule is packed and I have a newborn. I understand capitalism and the need to make as much money as possible, but at the expense of your regular clients isn't okay. Picking up beans on a Saturday used to be a highlight of the week, it has now turned into an awkward chore. The vibe is grab your things and go. No exposure to the new roasts, discussions on coffees / cold brew. You will be the only one in there buying coffee beans. Jed's roasts are still awesome, but I can't recommend this place anymore.
5Star - Old Review I have been trying to find a great roastery and thankfully stumbled into this place! The coffee is amazing! The owner is super friendly and let us try a handful of the roasts as well as the brews on tap. The cold brew and nitros are out of this world. They have a great frequent buyers program and the whole bean coffee is priced at a great value. The parking is in back and it was a bit tricky to find. They are only open on Saturdays but I would highly recommend getting there. We...
Read moreI got to know the owners of The Bean Whole, Jed & Tiffany, while shooting the Kickstarter for their new space. They are such down-to-earth, friendly people and the coffee they roast is incredible. By far my favorite roaster in SLC, not only for the quality of the beans but also the personality of the business.
If you prefer whole bean coffee, supporting local businesses, and a delightful, boutique shopping experience, you have to stop at the Bean Whole. Also, I'm not usually a fan of cold brew, but the nitro cold brew they have on tap? KILLER. You've...
Read moreThe most gratifying moments in my week are spent at this roastery savoring the magnanimous and affable disposition of Jed, the proprietor. I am certainly not an expert on the subject of coffee, but it was immediately apparent that he takes pride in procuring the highest quality of beans available. Furthermore he is committed to bettering the lives of his patrons by working hard, continually making improvements, and educating anyone who will listen. I am very thankful to live in Salt Lake where I am privileged to frequent a business like...
