Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in San Angelo

Since COVID, this place has gone from a family favorite to I won't be back. It seems every visit we made the food was a little worse and the prices increased.

Our last visit, a couple weeks ago, went as follows:

6 PM, we walk in the door, are seated immediately, and our waitress took our drink order (2 sweet teas and a kids strawberry lemonade).

6:10 PM, they bring 2 strawberry lemonades and a kids sweet tea

6:15 PM, they bring us 2 unsweet teas and a kids strawberry lemonade

6:20 PM, they bring us our 2 sweet teas. They also drop off the chips, salsa, and queso we ordered. The queso was cold. Literally colder than room temperature. We ask them to reheat it.

They bring it back, and we start on the chips. We discover about 1/3 of the chips are still doughy and not finished cooking. The waitress apologized. She was very pleasant and seemed like she was trying to do her best with a few too many tables and a slow kitchen.

6:40 PM, they bring us our meals. Salmon, a chicken sandwich, and a kids pizza with fries and oranges. They didn't give our kid oranges.

6:45 PM, we ask to see the manager. The salmon was burnt. The chicken on the sandwich was still raw. We offer to pay for the drinks and the kids meal, since it was ok once they brought the oranges. The manager comped it and said the computers were down so they were having a hard time.

I'm not sure how the computers being down contributed to cold queso, uncooked chips, burnt salmon, and...

SO MY 3 RD EXPERIENCE HERE I ORDERED THE LUNCH SPECIAL CHICKEN QUESIDILLAS $10.00 SPECIAL TO PICK UP OVER THE PHONE GOT THERE AND THEY TRIED CHARGING ME $17.00 FOR THE MEAL I SAID ITS ALWAYS $10.00 AND SOME CHANGE SHE SAID OH I HIT THE WRONG BUTTON🤔 ...I GET MY ORDER LEAVE GET TO WORK AND THE SIDES ARE MISSING I CALL BACK THE LADY TAKING ORDERS IS ADAMANT IT DOES NOT COMW WITH A SIDE I WAS ADAMANT IT DID SHE SARCASTICALLY RESPONDED WELL JUST TO ACCOMMODATE U I WILL GIVE U THE SIDE EVEN THOUGH IT DOES NOT COME WITH THE MEAL I SAID I DONT WANT UR ACCOMMODATION I WANT WHAT I PAID FOR SHE STATED NO THEN PROCEEDED TO READ THE MEAL OFF AND WHEN SHE GOT TO AND CHIPS AND SALSA ..SHE SAID OH I'AM SO SORRY ....WHAT THE HECK NEVER WENT BACK.....WELL 3 WEEKS LATER DECIDED LET ME GIVE THEM A TRY I CALLED IN AN ORDER LUNCH SPECIAL AGAIN A BURGER MUST LETT AND PICKLES ONLY ...WHICH WAS REPEATED BACK TO ME REPETITIVELY THRU OUT THE CONVERSATION WHICH I SAID YES ...AND THE END OF THE CONVERSATION FOR THE 10.99$ LUNCH SPECIAL..THE SAME GIRL FROM 3 WEEKS AGO SAYS 17.00$ I SAY WHAT HOW ITS 10.00$ TO WHICH SHE RESPONDS "OH I HIT THE WRONG BUTTON" 😆 WHAT IS SHE STEALING MONEY OVER CHARGING AND POCKETING IDK ANYWAYS I CALL BACK TALK TO ROBERT THE MANAGER WHO SAYS HE'LL FIX IT REIMBURSE MY MEAL TAKE IT TO MY WORK WHICH IS LITERALLY 1 MINUTE AWAY HIS IDEA NOT MINE ...AND ROBERT HAS BEEN M.I.A. SMH ...HORRIFIC CUSTOMER SERVICE WORST...

Well to start off we hadn't been to Chili's in awhile because we haven't had good experiences the last couple times but our boys wanted to go so we said we'll give it another try. Boy what a mistake. We went in at 7ish left almost 9 and didn't even eat a damn thing! My daughter finally after about 45 min. asked where's my appetizer soup she got for her 3 for me, she came back ...sorry yalls order didn't go in I'll have to take order all over again. We had been waiting patiently that whole time so that tells you how the waitress attended to us that she never even checked on our order so of course we just wanted to leave at that point. So the manager came said oh sorry guys I'll give 50 in gift cards so ok but wasn't going back any ways then right after brings us a ticket , .....oh here's for the drinks yall had.... which was 45 so the 50 in gift cards went to our drinks. Smh. Manager almost seemed not have a care in the world and waitress was even worse. Horrible horrible customer service. Couldn't rate food since...
