I was walking around the mall with my daughter and we were approached with an offer for a sample. Although we had never been there before as we are just visiting here, we decided to give it a try. After trying the sample, my daughter enjoyed hers, but I was less impressed with mine. When I asked for another sample to try a different flavor, I was denied because they needed to save samples for others.
I believe that this approach is not the best way to gain customers. I was interested in potentially making a purchase if I found a flavor that I liked. Denying me an additional sample came across as cheap. The samples were small and insignificant, and providing an extra sample would not have impacted them greatly. In fact, it may have led to a purchase.
I suggest adopting a different business mindset and focusing on customer satisfaction. I recommend reading the book "Give Them the Pickle" for insights on how to provide excellent customer service and build lasting...
