Jalapeños Locos — Restaurant in San Angelo

I was SO excited to try this place because of all the yummy looking pictures they post on Facebook and Mexican food is my all time favorite so I'm always excited to try a new spot. Don't be fooled!!! Literally the worst Mexican resteraunt I've ever been to.. I'd choose Taco Bell over this place. When I walked in during lunch time it was dead except for one person. The owner was sitting in the corner on her laptop and asked if I was here for a carry out order. When I told her I wanted to sit down she said to sit anywhere. Then finished what she was doing on her lap top before coming over to my table. I wanted a margarita and instead of selling me one she TALKED ME OUT OF TRYING ONE. Because they're made with wine instead of liquor and most people don't like them.. Okay whatever I'm not going to waste my money if they're no good.. I asked her nicely if she had mentioned to the owner that customers don't like the drinks. She said "I AM the owner." I think she realized how bad her service was because after that she made sure to get up and come to my table several times to ask if I needed anything and was extra nice. The food was terrible. The rice didn't look like Mexican rice at all and tasted like the kind you heat up prepackaged in the microwave. My enchiladas sucked.. I have been here 3 times because it's my sisters favorite place to eat at. The first time I was not impressed the second time I came with my sister for breakfast it was okay. Tonight I came for my nieces graduation dinner and it was horrible. We ordered a cheeseburger and others in our party got their meals before us even ones that ordered after us. When we asked about our order they said it needs a few more minutes 20 minutes later still no food. After 30 minutes we told them to just cancel the order. Our party was done eating. Then like 10 minutes later our burgers are brought out in to go boxes and my sister said she paid for them. Heck no. Then to top it off we were eating cake and the waitress comes around taking plates off the tables and she literally pushes a glass off the table landing not on me but on my other sister. There are other waitresses standing in hall near kitchen just laughing. After that cook comes out says the we had a bigger party that was expected and it was busy so pretty much our fault we didn't get our food and everyone else did. Dining at Jalapeños Locos was a 5-Star experience from start to finish. Employees greeted my party upon entry with genuine warmth and hospitality. We were seated quickly, having just enough time to get settled as our server approached. The customary appetizers (chips and salsa) are fantastic. I can't begin to tell you just how PERFECT the salsa is. Our food came out in a timely manner and my glass never reached empty. Food was fresh and presented well.
