Large portions, good prices, flavorful food, chips and spicy salsa and queso complimentary, in a family atmosphere.

Good for: casual dining: families, affordable large portions, live music, larger parties.

Not good for: formal dining

Some of the best food in town, in that the food is flavorful and doesn't need seasoning. Plate portions are very large. We got two $9.99 dinners.

One was the Fajita plate, which came with giant portions of tenderized beef, rice, beans, a lot of nopales (cacti - look up the health benefits of this citrusy vegetable that tastes like a cross between green beans and green peppers with lemon), lettice, tomatoes, and guacamole.

The Tejano plate (the j is pronounced like h) came with tender meat in a brown gravy, together with 2 cheese enchiladas with a gravy sauce, refried beans, rice, and guacamole.

The chips are thick. The free chips and salsa and queso are flavorful. The salsa and queso are spicy and not for people who enjoy mild, almost not got sauce.

Tortillas made in house. The corn tortillas were very good. The flour tortillas were slightly chewy, if that is your style.

Live music ended this Saturday evening at 10 PM. It was in Spanish, mellow music, and a few people dances in a country style.

The service was relaxed, humble, and kind. Our server spoke limited English. Don't let that dissuade you.

I ordered a tortilla soup through the drive through. When I left the window I checked to see If the chips were there. They weren't. They were in the soup.I like my chips on the side. Because if they are in the soup they get soggy and I don't want it that wayI went in the restaurant to have it corrected. The manager was so rude and hateful and would not have it redone. We argued for 3 minutes. Finally and reluctantly she had it done. Well as soon as I got home to sit down and eat. The tortillas were not corn it was flour and the soup was cold,!!! I will never go back again. The service was awful. I paid for service and a product and neither was any good. I don't like the chips in my soup from the restaurant. I like to do it myself.. The manager did nothing to make up for the inconvenience I was put through. Not even an apology. She claimed that she was just doing her job. I never really Right reviews because I work in the food industry too but this restaurant has the most amazing food like the food is so delicious but that drive-through worker on Sunday he knew he was passing me my drinks unsweet because he said oh you wanted unsweet and I said no I wanted sweet he goes gather sweet and still gave them to me when I tasted them they were unsweet then he made me sit in the line and wait till they got everybody out of the line instead of just running me my drinks because he knew he messed up originally off the rip it was him I just don't appreciate the lack of customer service because he could have saved his energy and time then when I pulled to the window he still tried to make me think that I messed up when I know that I repeated the order he said I repeated the order I said I told you repeat ed it wrong and I corrected you at the window but you still insisted on giving them to me and basically what I feel like is the reason he's still gave them to me was because I was black and I'm not Hispanic and I get that a lot living here on the south side and I just don't...
