El Tamalero place — Restaurant in San Antonio

Went today and was very disappointed. The barbacoa was extremely greasy and soggy. It didnt even shread like barbacoa it looked very soupy. My kids didnt even want to finish it nor did i want too either. It was so gross and expensive. My stomach hurt so bad afterwards like i needed to throw up. I will definitely will not come back! If u want good barbacoa and tamales go to del rio on gillette. The line wraps around the building thats how good it is. I should have known better when i was the only person in this...

Usually these tamales are pretty good but for some reason each location has different cooks! This location had decent barbacoa but the tamales were a bit dry yet the other location close to Woodlawn Lake had better tamales than barbacoa! I guess the cooks are different at all locations and make food...
