Fred’s Fish Fry — Restaurant in San Antonio

One lil angry rude, no customer service skills for a mature woman. First she didn't let me finish ordering and face me a total. SIGN READS.. NO ADDITIONAL ORDERING AT WINDOW!! No Salutations nor positive attitude, cuts you off. Mind the fact I was the only person at the place. Order took awhile but she was on her cell phone. After driving to the window, receive a total. And ask for a Large order of onion rings. She then says, no additional ordering.... I'm thinking, (Seriously) I nicely comment well ma'am you didn't let me finish ordering. She raises her voice and gives the total. She gives me my order, for which I request Ketchup. She literally shoves them in my hand. I tell her"thank you ma'am." She then rolled her eyes at me, then I say, "excuse me ma'am!' That's very rude and not very nice if you don't like your job find another and be happy! A San Antonio Staple and Southside gem 💎

After Fred's Fish closed their Somerset location, I travel to this location to grab my favorite fried fish in the city.

Although it is a bit of a wait at times, it's always more than worth it for delicious prepped and cooked to order food.

What I love the most is that this restaurant has not changed a single aspect of how they run business or their look since opening and honestly they don't need to.

Fred's Fish has a recipe that works and always serving up tasty hot food.

The only thing I would change is some Mac & Cheese. I don't recall if it's on the menu but if it is it's probably not great because I love me some Mac & Cheese and I order it from anywhere almost anytime it's an option. Something similar to Churchs Chicken, Golden Chick or Lubys style Mac & Cheese would be a FANTASTIC addition or update to...

I am not giving them no good reviews I just had a bad experience w them I ordered a 9 piece fish and a order of small shrimp I took it to my mom for dinner and after I dropped it off and got my home my mother calls me and says that she didn't get any shrimp its fish so I called freds fish and they never answered the phone the actually put the phone off the hook and then we talked to the manager and I was told that I had to go back to my mom's and pick up the food bring it back my mom lives in Elmendorf so I told her can I have a refund for the the shrimp that I was supposed to get she said no I needed the food so I told give me a refund and she she gave me 86 cents I think it was poor management and poor customer service ..
