I've been waiting for this review! I really wanted to give less than a whole star, but that's not an option... So get this guy's... I go to this Applebee's because my boss gave me a $25 gift card for working so hard. So I'm like nice! I'll take my wife here and we'll go out Friday night..(and when I eat with my wife we eat more than $25).. I say that just so you see that we were going to spend way more...But get this.. my experience at this place starts off by seeing a waitress / hostess right inside the door who has an attitude as if she did not want to be there or was being overworked... We ( my wife & I) waited about 7-8 minutes to get up to her station. There was only one other couple that were in front of us, and 2 other couples waiting to be seated. When we finally got to her she told us that there would be like a 30 minute wait for a table. My wife noticed A LOT of empty tables so she asked her, What about all those tables? Are those available?She ( the hostess)said I haven't cleaned them yet while never looking us in our eyes when she first took our names down or at all when she spoke to us.... I mean it was like she just didn't want to be there or was like super tired... So she went and sat somebody down as we waited standing up and then she decided to clear a table for us (after seating somebody else) ...We got seated and this is where I get upset!. After finally getting a table( right next to a party of 11) my wife and I sat waiting for nearly 15 minutes without seeing a waitress. Nobody came and greeted us or said I'll be right with you or can I get you a drink! We finally get noticed by the hostess because I'm getting upset and we're at the booth right behind the hostess station... She says, Have they got your drink order yet? I say no and then I ask, Why is it taking so long? She then in a sarcastic voice says, Oh well it's because she has this big table over here as well. By the time my waitress gets there, we are so angry we don't even wanna stay. I told her I don't even want to eat here anymore! Right after I said that, the waitress said OK! And walked away.....Before excussing myself completely I stated I want to speak to the manager.. when the manager came, I explained to him what had happened... I told him this is no way to run a business cause you will lose people's business this way.... And before he could even speak to try to make things right I said to him there's no way to make this right I don't even want to eat here and he said fine! ... But people, I'm not going to take the chance of him a waitress or cook, spitting in my food or to give them a chance to do that or some other absurd thing to our food. So this being known.. things HAVE to get better there guys y'all almost messed up my night....and to tell you the truth...I have seen way better service at fast food chains...that are known for having people mess up....But bottom line here guys at this location...if you don't want to do your work... Or don't feel like being there... Or don't like your job.. don't work there because your attitude can rub off on others...and make a paying hard-working customer very upset and they will NEVER want to come back to your place of...
Read moreSo let’s start with this testimony as I say first as you walk when host are helpful but as your experience goes further it starts to get worse as I stated I needed a Togo order a gentleman approached me and starts to take my order now at first glance this gentleman seems number as he takes my order he’s asking me how to spell out my food choices ? I think odd but okay I’ll go along as he finishes my order and as one of my orders was a steak he never asked how I wanted my steak or how I like my sides ! So okay I figured I would ask for. A manger I did he left to Gio get and guess what manager sends him back to ask him to ask me to write my name on my order ? Odd of course but I go along with it then as we are waiting for my supposed placed order another young lady comes and corrects my order for a third time ! So order is placed once again then I wait 30 mins for food and as my order comes out to my I begin to check in of my order I was very specific in no tomatoes and no seasoning and behold the plate had everything we asked for it not to have so I stand at the entrance making eye contact with the manger wearing a blue sweater vest orange shirt we made eye contact three times as he stands be hind the bar and let me tell you once he sees me he knows there’s an issues he does not want to deal with and well the look on his face spelled it out correctly so as he finally goes around the back of the bar around the way finalmakes his way to me huffing and puffing as he walks he asked what’s the issue I stage I would like a refund please he asked why I stated because of you and how you stood there for 15 mins making contact with me 3 times and simply choose to ignore me for no reason I get my refund and I leave and as I leave he tells a host in a red sweater “what a dick” as I walk out with my ten year old daughter this restaurant is just a bad example of experience and I get may have been short staffed but as a man with a job suck it up and keep it moving your employees were out there busy tail while you leaned on a wall looking at...
Read moreWe went to take advantage the 3 for $10 burger combo that we had enjoyed about two weeks prior. I had the tv ad once again the day before. Hostess looked like she was doing multiple jobs but seats us- at a wobbly table. So we move ourselves. Now my elderly mother is in a wheelchair and sometimes it’s hard to get in and out of any dining establishment. She wanted to to take me out for Valentine’s Day. She wanted to take me out to Chris Madrids but it would have been a bit more expensive and I wanted to keep the bill low for her since she is on a fixed income. So the host/busboy/ waitress comes to take our orders and I ask for the special only to be told they no longer have it. I told her about seeing the ad the day before. She said, “I know, they need to stop showing the ad because we no longer have that special. she mentions that they took the advertisement off the window and menu inserts and just didn’t have that special anymore. So I just told her we would be leaving. Her response was just “Ok, don’t care. Less people for me to wait on.” My mom could have afforded to pay for a little more, but hay wasn’t the point. It all seems like a hustle. What would it have hurt them to honor the ad. It wasn’t going to put them out of but. Maybe the mix-up is at corporate and they’re still running an ad when that campaign has ended. But you’re all part of one enterprise. If someone makes a mistake. Do the bare minimum and honor your mistakes. There is no “they” when your running a business. Live up to your word. I matter...
