Bush's Chicken — Restaurant in San Antonio

I had a really bad experience for the first time coming through drive thru. I had a girl name Dominique helping my husband and I. I pulled up about 9:25. When she took our order she was very unprofessional. When I was ordering with her she told me it would take about 15 min to make the order and then stated they close in 15 min. I told her I had no problem on waiting and explained I had been waiting more then 15 min in drive thru. I was so upset as I had a long day and had a family waiting to eat that had been visiting out of town. I ended up going to Freddy's. I told her I won't be needing the order since it was a inconvenience for her she tried to correct herself by saying she wasn't trying to be rude just some people don't want to wait 15 min for chicken. Wrong! I was already waiting in line a while. I called and spoked with the GM John he said I can come in and get 25% off. I came and was assisted by the Manager Patrick who was very helpful and understanding. I told him I was close to giving a one star lastnight but stopped myself because I have never had that type of experience at this location before. We’ve been to this location about 4 times total now. Have had mixed service. These past two times we’ve had worse service from this location compared to the 1604 location near Freddie’s and academy. This location has some great employees like David Axton who served us today. We were going to use a coupon but David told us about the $5 box deal they were doing which saved us a $1, and we can use the coupon later. Recommend going through drive trough at this location as they seem to make it their priority rather than customers who dine in. The African American manager doesn’t seem to know how to run things. Last time we were there, the ice was empty, and an employee said they had ice in the back and could get it for us, which is sad when they could have taken 15 seconds to grab a bucket of ice and refill. The manager makes no initiative to greet guests and actually help them, she would rather do other little side things then take down an order and help her employees. Overall this location is sub-par and would definitely recommend the 1604 location, along with the bandera location between eckhart...

Avoid! Is 35 minutes at the drive through fast food? Can you believe it. Witnessed several drive offs. Food a 2.5 out of 5. Chicken fingers a bit greasy, green beans straight out of can, out of coleslaw and macaroni & cheese. No staff with a mask, including long straight haired youth with swinging hair all around several inches below cap. Would have drove off but had two hungry kids with us. When I had the gall to suggest to the young kid that such a long wait should be discounted, he shrugged his shoulders and replied “that’s just how it works here,” like “take it or leave it”. Should have simply drove off. Manager on duty walked by window and looked the other way, looked very messy and dirty, wearing clothes way too small. Unprofessional. Won’t ever go back to any of these unless free!! Terrible, don’t waste one...
