Oh man, we were recommended to come here and I have to admit that it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. Immediately as we walked in I noticed kids serving and taking our order. At first, I didn't think anything of it because growing up on the south side, I grew up eating at TJ's and thought how cool, this must be a family run place and the family is showing the kids how to run things (a generational thing). The very young lady took our order and as I got closer to the card machine, I noticed a very tiny roach. I wanted to give this place a chance and just swiped it away with my card. I didn't want to make a big deal about it because my foodie boyfriend would have protested and probably had every right to, but I shrugged it off. This place had custom cars displayed up front which I thought was cool. It looked pretty busy with children running around and families laughing loudly and having a great time. We decided to eat inside. One of the kids yelled that they ran out of ice and then proceeded to stick a plastic utensil along with their whole arm in the hole where the ice usually comes out of, so there's that. As we waited, my boyfriend flicked a cockroach that came from underneath our picnic table and he made a loud comment about how amazed he was about what he witnessed. He thought it was a fluke. Once we finally got all our food delivered to us so we could eat at the same time, I thought, cool, let's see what the fuss is about. It wasn't as hot as I expected especially when we could see the cooks grilling right there up front, but it was tasty. As I took my 3rd bite, my boyfriend immediately stood up and quickly swatted two more cockroaches on our picnic table. We were so grossed out with our experience that we hurried up out of there. I can only imagine what the actual kitchen looks like... INFESTATION comes to mind. I'll never...
Read moreBeen here before for a car show but never ate here until a couple of days ago. The atmosphere outside has a cute covered patio with tea lights. Inside is small and contains a decent number of wooden bench tables. They are very sturdy and comfy.
Ordered: -fried cheese sticks -the special which was a cheese burger(requested no lettuce), half order of fries, and a drink. -Double cheese burger and a drink.
The cheese sticks were terrible. Most of them had the cheese inside of them evaporated and the breading was hard and chewy. Two out of the 6 had actual cheese in it but it wasn't much. They have no flavor at all.
The special comes with cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, white onion, pickles. I had asked for no lettuce but ended up with lettuce in my order. Which is fine, I just gave it to my hubby. The cheeseburger looks gorgeous and delicious. The bun is stable and doesn't tear easily when you pick it up. Sadly, my burger patty didn't have any seasoning. I had to add salt, pepper, and ketchup but that still didn't help it. I only took a couple of bites and I was over it. It had some weird faint flavor but it is hard to describe.
The fries had no seasonings and tasted like how wet cardboard smells.
The double cheese burger had a white cheese. Unfortunately, that is the burger that got no lettuce when my hubby wanted it all the way. No problem, I just gave him my lettuce. What was strange is that his burger actually tasted delicious. It had plenty of flavor and his meat patties were juicy and tender as opposed to mine. My hubby even tasted mine and said it didn't taste like the same meat and tasted bland and bad.
So perhaps don't get the special and just order their regular burgers. I wish I had tried one of their chicken...

First off, I came to this place because they supposedly are the place that make fried mac n cheese buns. I got there and didn’t see it on the menu, so I asked about it. The girl that works there tells me “We are out. The owner only makes them when he feels like it and then we sell them until they are all gone.” I was like “thats the only reason I came here. He should really make that fact known.” She said that she “thinks” he puts it up on FB. Well I didn’t check FB. I checked the website and google reviews. Not everyone uses FB. My issue here is that you shouldn’t advertise as “The house of fried mac and cheese bun” to get people in there, but then have no product on stock to sell. Total scam. I drove all the way from FT sam Houston. We drove all that way, I wasn’t going to leave with an empty stomach. Seats were limited and it was a cold and an uncomfortable setting. Our 2 hamburgers literally took an hour to be served, 2 hamburgers! We did also get parmesan fries which were good. I got the ghost burger, my daughter got the BBQ burger. They were nothing to write home about in size and taste was nothing special. My burger was NOT worth the $14.00. I could have ordered a regular cheese burger for $6-7 and added some ghost chilies to it and got the same exact thing but paid a lot less. Over all, I am very unimpressed with this establishment. I think that because it was on Man vs. food, it gets a lot of hype for it being just a regular old every day burger joint, That oversells what’s unique about it, with nothing to really show. I wont be returning and do not recommend. Unless you want to waste your gas,...
