Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in San Antonio

This is the experience we had with Church’s Texas Chicken on 430 S New Braunfels. Never tried Church’s chicken and decided to try to with our family this time. Did not disappoint.

Great soul food even though it is a chain restaurant. But what made the experience amazing was one of the store managers, Candace. (or she seems like one!) Not only did she help save us money by suggesting the special going on (10-pc family meal that is at the time cheaper than the 8-pc meal), she showed respect to military members, and even run around and made sure everyone was satisfied in the store. Candace also seems like an extremely capable lady who multi-tasks very well taking orders, putting chicken in the box, checking on in-store customers, running around making sure everything is okay in the store.

Because of Candace’s amazing service, we will definitely come back to this location if in the area again. Keep up the good work Candace and Church’e Chicken 430 S...

Had me waiting over twenty minutes for a grande meal to just not give me half the stuff that comes with a grande meal. No chicken tenders or biscuits with sides and gravy that are barely half way full. Why was I waiting twenty minutes for half my order?

Went back to get the missing items then had to wait another five minutes for some of the tiniest chicken tenders I have seen it my life hell you can't even call these chicken tenders more like chicken scraps. The fries and biscuits I went back for were over cooked and too hard to eat. The eight piece chicken was all thighs no legs at all??

The old church's that used to be there before it burned down had issues but they were nowhere near as bad as it is now!

This place is a joke, the managers, cook, & the other employees are all ghetto an unprofessional. They were talking about me & my husband, specifically the Hispanic chick who is the manager & cook, all while we were standing there & said we were “impatient” and also said “not for that were going to take longer with their food” even though they had us waiting for 40 min for FRIES. The rest of our food got cold. My husband tried to talk to the manager and explain the situation, she rolled her eyes an walked off an continued to talk about us.
