Dutch Bros Coffee — Restaurant in San Antonio

Hello,

I’m writing to address some concerns we had and noticed at your store today, August 16, at 11:45 p.m. central time.

First, the line buster was wearing black Adidas flip-flops, which I believe are not part of the uniform. These flip-flops are not safe for a work environment.

Second, and most concerning, was our 30-minute wait time and the attitude of the line buster. Once we reached the front of the line, I asked if they could provide any compensation for our long wait time, but they refused, stating that they couldn’t.

This was very frustrating for us because we didn’t expect to wait over 30 minutes for two hot coffees, and we weren’t offered anything for our troubles. To make matters worse, our two hot drinks had dirty cups (don’t you have a clean cup policy?), and one was very hot, while the other was lukewarm.

Here are some suggestions to improve the situation:

Ensure that the store is fully staffed during peak demand. Train staff to accommodate guest wait times beyond the maximum time limit. Enforce the Dutch Bros dress code. Appoint competent managers on site.

I’ve never given a one star. I’ve never received such awful service. The Asian girl at the window asked “what do you want” and then she proceeded to motion for me to hurry up my order as if I was taking too long but I already knew what I wanted. By far, the best coffee place I’ve ever been to. Everyone there is extremely friendly, fast, and good at making drinks. This is the first place I’ve been to where the staff remembers my drink order without me even saying it. I’ve been going to this location since they opened up, and I can’t recommend it more.
