My experience with this restaurant has been less than stellar and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. My very first experience here on Nov 11th they overcooked a medium steak three times and served me steak well done instead. The manager tried to make it right, finally got me a medium steak and graciously offered me a $25 gift card as a token of good gesture to give them “another chance”. Today I decided to give it a second try, I ordered Steak (medium) and Ribs (a selection directly from their menu) with brussel sprouts. My friend ordered a protein bowl with steak (well done) and soup. What we got you might ask? I received steak and to my surprise it was perfectly cooked! But, things quickly went downhill…I didn’t receive the ribs that were supposed to have come with my meal because the waitress entered the order wrong. My friend received her soup and a piece of flat iron steak also cooked medium but no protein bowl just a piece of steak on a plate that was undercooked from how she ordered it. We brought it to their attention so they recooked the steak, and brought her out what was the driest piece of steak you could offer someone. We didn’t say a word and were just going to go about our evening until one of the leads/managers came by and asked how everything was, we expressed our disappointment and explained we were there using a gift card from our previous visit that also went poorly. He apologized offered another piece of steak but we were over it by this point and politely refused, he apologized and politely offered to cover our appetizer on our next visit, much appreciated but we’re ready to go. The waitress comes by and we tell her that we are ready to pay, I hand her the gift card that the manager from the first visit gave me. The cherry on top of all the poor experience for me was she then looks at me and says “the gift card balance is $0.00” shocked I just look at her for a moment, briefly explain why I’m shocked, she offers to get the manager to resolve it but I’m like no, no let me just pay my bill and get out of here. The two and only two times I’ve eaten here the experience was terrible. I understand that mistakes happen but failure after failure is a no go for me. Take your chances if you feel like it but going out is too dang expensive to go somewhere and have multiple bad experiences like this. I wanted to love you 54th as a lot of people have told me great things but it’s...

12/8 I want to give Brandon a shout out for his excellent customer service and for making our order right which made us very happy. On 11/20 I had just gotten off from work and didn’t want to cook so my daughter and I decided to order from 54th Street. We ordered the fried stuffed mushrooms and 2 rattlesnake pastas to go. I arrived on time for my curbside pick up and called to let them know. The curbside phone lines were down i called half a dozen times so then I called the main number and spoke to someone to let them know the curbside number wasn’t working and I was also there to pick up my order. I sat for over half an hour in my car and no one came so I called the main number several times and no one answered. So I finally had to go inside in my pjs… which I did not want to do since I had ordered curbside. I spoke w Hector and he seemed confused and didn’t know I had an order so after looking for it he came from the kitchen 10min later w the food. I asked if it was still hot he assured me it was. Since I was upset for the long wait so he gave me a $15 gift card for my inconvenience. 5 min later when I got home we noticed the food was cold so I was even more upset at that point. Fast forward to today my daughter wanted to use the gift card and there was no money on it. So I wasn’t sure if that was done in error or on purpose because of how upset I was when spoke to hector. So I told brandon (asst mgr) everything that happened and he went above and beyond to make it right. Not only did he give us the $15 gift card he gave us the exact order of food from 11/20 with 2 free large drink. A very kind gesture of making it more than right and making us …54th street regular patrons very very happy! Brandon Is AMAZING and is the epitome of top tier...

I live in the Stone Oak (San Antonio, TX) area and so I visit the Stone Oak restaurant quite often (for nearly two years). I have friends who also go there and I have gotten to know the manager and waitstaff there. I want to express my views and appreciation for the employees and the food at that great establishment. My most recent experience there shows how they are "head and shoulders" above the many other restaurants in the area. When I recently discovered a possible discrepancy on a payment for a meal there, I mentioned it to a server at the bar, she immediately brought it to the attention of the manager, Scott Damminga. Scott "dropped what he was doing" and researched the cash register transactions from that night and pinpointed the error and then corrected my members rewards account. He made it a priority, which is very important to me. The server at the bar was Alyssa Castaneda. Her customer service skills and care are consistently outstanding!! She is "quick on her feet" and very attentive. Also, she knows her customers and treats them as though they are the keys to the success of the business. Simply put, customers "love" her. Another cornerstone to the bar there is Liam O'Dowd. He and Alyssa make a great team at the bar and keep the patrons smiling and laughing and coming back. Other standouts at the bar are Tiana Venegas, as well as Kathryn Dent. Both have superb customer service skills and I always know that I will be treated with value and appreciation by both of them. This restaurant is absolutely the "go to" place to dine in the entire area and I am thankful to be able to enjoy the 5-Star food and...

We used to go to 54th Street fairly regularly some years ago, but found that the food quality, choices, and service were generally declining. The last time we went to this location was shortly after the COVID pandemic ended and they, like all service industry operations, were still in recovery mode with hiring and other challenges. Service and food quality/taste really had suffered, so that experience ended our time with 54th Street until last night when we decided to try it again. Time has been good to this one. We had great service from the moment we arrived on a very busy Friday night. Had to wait a bit after getting seated before anyone came to take our initial order, but to one of the on-duty manager's credit, he noticed that and came over to start the ball rolling. Our waiter, Luis, arrived and took over, but kudos to the manager for his awareness and action. Exactly what a manager should be. Luis was great. All over checking on us after we got our order, very friendly, and just seemed like a nice person. Our food orders were very good, presented nicely on the plates, all cooked just right, and reasonable for the price in these challenging times. We ordered Happy Hour house margaritas, which were also really good and NOT from a machine. That was nice. Kudos to the bartender for making decent ones at a reasonable price. Overall, we were pleased to see that things were much better than our last visit and we'll be back much sooner the next go-round!

This was my first visit to this location of 54th Street Grill and I was pretty impressed! We visited on a Friday evening around 7:00pm, and although it was crowded, we only waited 5 minutes to be seated. They have a huge menu, but we saw they have this 'Dinner for Two' special that includes 1 appetizer, 2 entrees and a dessert for $39 - not a bad price! We started with the fried pickles, which came out hot and were very tasty. My Husband and I each ordered the veggie burger which was also very delicious! One thing I appreciated about this veggie burger was that the patty tasted and looked made-in-house. I am not a fan of those prepackaged patties that come frozen in a box, these had a yummy blend of vegetables, grains and greens and fell a part a little when you took a bite into it (which is a sure sign way you can tell you're eating a more homemade veggie patty vs the processed kind). We then finished off with the salted caramel & chocolate brownie served with vanilla bean ice cream that was SO GOOD and the perfect way to finish a meal! Our waiter was also very attentive and kind. Highly recommend stopping in here for a bite!
