As a family of Texans we’ve been coming to this establishment for years and usually have a nice time. Our server was lovely and patient with my elderly family members. However, the issue arose when our meals came out. I ordered a 6oz filet (medium well) with broccoli, my father ordered a sirloin (medium rare) with sweet potatoes. When the order came out a sirloin was placed in front of me (not by our server, but a bearded man in a blue shirt as opposed to the usual servers who wear black) and a filet was placed in front of my father. We thought it was a simple mistake and decided to switch the meat on our plates, but this man insisted we cut into them to “make sure the kitchen was doing their job”. The sirloin was cooked medium well and the filet was medium rare (Something I cannot eat). We tried to complain and were gaslit by this man who insisted that the filet is “cut thinner when it’s ordered higher temp to make sure everything comes out at once” and that the sirloin is “cut thicker” for the opposite reason. I have been eating solely filet mignon for almost 20 years now, my father has been eating and cooking all cuts of beef for almost 50. Anytime I have ordered a filet from this establishment, regardless of how it’s cooked, I have received the same cut of meat. We complained and told the man he was ill informed and his response was “I know you think you know these cuts, but I’ve been doing this for 20 years.” For reference my grandmother ordered the exact same cut of meat as I and hers was correct. I’m extremely disappointed by this experience and the arrogant attitude of this manager (would be my guess). Whoever he is, I think he needs to go back to training and should not be working in customer service if he is only going to attempt to gaslight customers who know better than he does about what they’re consuming. The steaks were cooked wonderfully and our actual server was a joy, so I do send my compliments to my server and the chef. It’s the first sirloin I’ve ever had that I’ve been able to eat, so despite it not being my order, I am thankful it was still a good meal. However, I’m a very perturbed by the man who argued with us and I hope he doesn’t treat another family the way he did mine. Photos included below. The plate with broccoli was supposed to be a filet, the one with sweet potatoes a sirloin.

Placed an order to go, purposely so i did not have to tip because 1) I didn't have money to do so, 2) I was using a $25 gift card someone had given to me. After all was ordered my bill came out to $30.60. I had just enough in my bank to cover the $5.60 overage. Again no tip was left. Woke up this morning to my bank sending me notice of over draft. Scanning through my statement I see a bill posted from LHSH for $10.60 when it should have only been $5.60. Apparently the TO-GO people felt entitled to steal a $5 tip from me for boxing up my order to go which is what they are paid to do. Regardless of if it was just $5. When you don't have something you don't have it. So for them to have LITERALLY STOLEN money from my account is UNACCEPTABLE and having done food and hospitality for 20 plus years this is a FIREABLE offense. Its sad when you cant even go out to grab a bite to eat without people feeling entitled to extra money on your behalf on top of what you're already paying ESPECIALLY when ordering TAKE OUT or TO-GO. Wealthy people may not notice things like this happening because most don't care about money because they have plenty. When you are on a budget and count every dollar you notice when money goes missing ESPECIALLY when it causes your bank to overdraft. Edit to note: 9/5/24, Contacted "Guest Relations" to make sure corporate was aware of such atrocities taking place at this specific establishment. They asked for all of my information, emailed me for 2 days straight, JUST to give me some generic statement about this particular location being a Franchise and that they would pass on the information from /about my email to those partners. That was 3 DAYS ago and I have heard nothing but cicadas since. "Guest Relations" is clearly a joke and seems to be set in place to deter you and keep you from reaching the important people that need to know about these theft events taking place.

I travel Texas a lot for work and after I check in to my hotel, I ALWAYS search for the nearest Longhorn Steakhouse because their food is consistent! However, this was THE WORST food ever. Just look at my photo! I ordered a salad and the 10oz salmon entree to go (pickup). When I checked my food inside the restaurant, I noticed the server got my salad order wrong since I did not want cheese and there were not onions or tomatoes. Fine, no big deal and he fixed it. However, they also didn't include plasticware so I had to ask for that too. When I returned to my hotel to eat my food, I had THE WORST broccoli I've ever seen plated for an individual to be consumed. It was old and tasteless. If you would not serve it to your parents or children, why serve it to me or other people? I do not recommend this restaurant for the simple fact that they actually thought this was a good idea to sell and give someone to eat. Also, to the manager in plain clothes, standing & eating food at the end of the bar and laughing with the staff in plain site of guests, who then brought out food to a table in the bar area, you might want to focus on what is coming out of the kitchen to make sure its edible instead of hamming it up with your servers as they walk in and out of the kitchen. Truly unbelievable and shame on you for not catching this and replacing it. I do not recommend this restaurant and will never return.

On our first experience here the smell of the place was rotten and pungent as soon as you entered the building, like the stench that hangs around a garbage can on a hot day; not a good start. It got worse and we decided not to come back. The Restraunt earned the nickname "Stinkhorn" in our conversations. We decided to give it another chance after a year, figuring it had to get better, and it was a big mistake. The meal started with stale bread. Really, really stale bread. The kind of bread in comedies that crumbles and flakes and is impossible to eat. We ordered the rest of the food and our ordeal began. The first problem was that people seated after us started getting their salads and drinks before we did. I ended up waiting 30 minutes, after which I asked the waiter if my beer was about ready. The place was virtually empty and I couldn't figure out why it would take so long to pour something in a cup. Well, it turns out he "forgot" to put in the order! Our appetizer arrived at the table along with a salad I had ordered and my beer. The onion dish was horrible. The onions were like rubber and the coating was similar to wet, dirty cardboard. I tried to eat the salad but the dressing was rancid. I am pretty sure they keep this stuff refrigerated overnight and warm it up. I wanted to l eave but we had invested quite a bit of time already and I at last finally had my flat tasting beer. By this time the people at the other table had their entire meal even though we were there quite awhile before them. The waiter seemed to have forgotten we were there. My wife also began to feel nauseated but didn't make a issue of it. I was starting to fume at this point. Our experience was bad and when the other table got so much attention it was starting to be a issue. The waiter had given no hints as to why it was taking so long so I asked him. According to him my wife's hamburger seemed to need extra time and attention. That seemed pretty silly. If it needed extra time he could have easily told us instead of ignoring us. I also couldn't figure out what was so difficult about cooking a hamburger. The Restraunt was still pretty empty so being busy wasn't distracting him at all. He assured us he would get right on it and in about 10 minutes our meal arrived. At this point our experi ence bottomed out. My steak, which I had ordered as medium, was very well done without a hint of pink in the center. I took a bite and almost choked trying to chew and swallow it. I asked to speak with the manager. After about five minutes, she came to our table. She arrived with a clipboard in hand and a terribly annoyed look on her face. I started explaining what was wrong but when I noticed her vacuous look and obvious lack of caring I stopped. She ended up mumbling some sort of apology and offering a dessert. I really didn't want anything else from this place but my little girl wanted some sort of chocolate mess that they had. At this point the dam broke with my wife. She had become overwhelmed with nausea and had to go out to the car. I asked for to go boxes for the desert and asked the waiter for our check. The rest of the meal could not be salvaged, unfortunately, because I was very hungry and the steak would've probably been good if it had been cooked properly. Even though my wife was sick and we were obviously upset the waiter took his sweet time to get us checked out. I was going to leave him a tip either way, but his indolent attitude changed that. I started out with five dollars, but for every 2 minutes he made us wait, walking by us and taking care of other people, I subtracted a dollar. My daughter thought this was funny but I really didn't. I just wanted to get out of that place. If you're wondering, he ended up with a two dollar tip. He really did not even deserve that. He did not care and made no effort to help us even when we were distressed. The evening peaked when my wife barely made it home before throwing up. She felt ill that day and the next. It did however give us a new nickname for the place,...

We ended up @ longhorns after trying two other places in the area (thanks COVID!), and the fun started right off the bat.

Honestly, we saw a youtube on Longhorn, and it was positive, so we were expecting a good experience. Sadly, it was not to be.

The Hostess took our phone number, and said it would be a 45-50 minute wait. As we were finishing up, a manager came over and informed the hostess that six (!) tables were free and she needed to get people in them ASAP.

The hostess said she would send us a test text, but it never came. Wifey went back in, and was informed that we would be called and it was still a 50 minute wait.

OK, so we had some household items to pick up and rather than wait in the parking lot, we decided to drive to the nearby HEB and stock up. As we were checking out, wifey's phone rang. Longhorn had a table for us. This was 15 minutes after we were told 50 minutes. Are further informed that if we did not get there IMMEDIATELY, the table would be given away. So rush, rush, rush back, and wonder of wonders, we were seated.

OK, we're in - yay! let's get some food. Our server comes by, and he's overly attentive. Offers to dance if we buy a margarita. Um, thanks, but no thanks. We order drinks and mushroom/garlic/cheese appetizer.

Creepy waiter brings back the appetizer and takes our dinner order. The Shrooms are pretty bland. No garlic taste at all. Disappointing. Creepy waiter stops by twice more to ask if everything is OK. Not really, but I don't want this guy here any more than necessary by now.

Dinner arrives - let's dig in. Wifey gets shrimp, which is good, but nothing to write home about. Daughter gets the bourbon glazed salmon - huge piece of fish, but she doesn't care for the bourbon glaze. Let's chalk that one up to taste. Also she got fries, which she didn't order, but what the heck.

My NY strip steak is meh. Cook to order is OK. Not a great sear. Kind of bland. I've done better myself with meat from CostCo. Also got garlic mashed potatoes. There they were on my plate, in a hemispherical shape where the line cook scooped them out of what I assume was a big bucket.

By their taste, they came to the restaurant in a big bag. Daughter tried and said she's had better from re-hydrated potato flakes. Potatoes are kind of a cheat for my diet, so I was saddened by this, and didn't finish.

Creepy waiter came back about every 10 minutes during dinner. Get a clue guy. If the table is shrinking from you and trying not to make eye contact, you're not wanted there. Also leaning over us like a vulture is not a good thing either.

So $90 later with tip and no booze, we left. For that price I can do much better - and so can you. We won't be back.

EDIT: Wifey red my review and wanted me to correct an inaccuracy. She said her shrimp tasted bland and were too small for the price we paid. I am sorry that I posted inaccurate information. Please accept my apologies for initially stating that my beloved bride received an adequate meal at Longhorn Steakhouse, when that was...

This experience is based on my visit for lunch on Sept 10th 2021. I understand restaurants may be short staffed but this experience did not involve that as we were one of 4 people at the time when we got into the restaurant. We got into the restaurant today at approximately 1pm we didn’t see our drink order until about 20 minutes later. Once again the restaurant was not busy at all. We barely saw our waiter. Someone else gave us a refill to my drink and did not ask my wife as she needed one as well. Like I said we barely saw the waiter. Then about about 1:50 pm our salads came out. Prior to this I noticed another table that came in after us with another waiter giving someone their drink order and salads at the same time. When we finally receive our food around 2:15. Next issue is that I had ordered the rib-eye and they gave me the New York strip Which was way over cooked not red at all when I ordered medium rare. My mothers was also over cooked and then my wife’s same issue tough to cut and over cooked. My 5year old son received his plate a few minutes later which should normally be put in as a hurry for kids, he received his after ours. That plate wasn’t bad. At this point we are frustrated well over an hour and 20 minutes we have bad food. We asked for the manager after re ring the food and did offer to remake mine because it was the wrong steak but did not offer to replace my wife’s or mother’s. I also advised we didn’t have time to wait once again for steaks as we have our five year old. Now we didn’t eat our steaks we took a couple bites which we have pictures of and she went to charge us for everything minus my plate even though the other plates were clearly not what we’re we order due to being overcooked. I once again had to call her over to ask why. She said we provided you with the meals and I offered to remake yours. I said we are not waiting another 30 minutes we have a 5 year old who is tired of sitting. I did tell her you want me to pay for food that we didn’t eat because of how bad it was. I let her know I would pay for it but would post pictures online of the horrible looking steaks and I would need her managers name. She then walks away and comes back with another check. Reducing the cost I said thank you but then She walks away AGAIN as I was giving her the card to pay. So I had to go to the bar to have someone take my card to pay. I did overhear that one manager call me saucy or it was someone. I did not make a seen I kept it away from customers. This was the most horrible restaurant experience I have had. They said 2 managers were on duty but we only saw a Shannon . Please feel free to look at our check in time around 1 and check out time for Sunday...
