I was very excited from the look fo the resteraunt when I walked in, a quaint and beautiful atmosphere. I only wish the food and service was up to par. The server never told us her name, and didnt tell us anything about the resteraunt. We ordered escargot and 2 glasses of wine off the happy hour menu. Along with this we also ordered our entrees, expecting the waiter to time our meals. She brought the appetizer and the entrees out together! That is such terrible service, we couldn't even eat one before the other because it would get cold! The escargot was delicious but overwhelmed the taste of the escargot, with a dish such as this the idea is to highlight and enhance the flavor of the main attraction (escargot). Instead we got whole slices of pepperoni and onions that just ignored the rest of the dish. We didnt get to taste the wine, it was poured directly. I ordered the lamb and my mom the duck. The meats tasted good but the seemingly teriyaki sauce on her duck tasted like it was from panda Express and the sesame on my lamb from there as well. Our dishes had the same flavorless vegetables, steamed without any salt! Atrocious! My moms rice was delicious but was sticky rice? On a French fusion dish? I understand you are French Asian but if you have no French flavor, dont portray it as such! My potatos also had no flavor, the boxed potatoes at the store are better and have more flavor. The bread was simple and looked store bought, and we were never offered any more even when we waited so long for our appetizer. We waited long periods of time for service and our server never told us of the dishes as they were placed in front of us. The dessert menu was sad. It was nice and firm, yet soft of the point of eating it comfortably. Wonderful. 7/10 Asparagus was nice and easy to chew. It adds to the accent of the flavor, but it also feels slightly out of proportion with the rest of the savory flavor as the vegetable itself tends to come bitter. Maybe a bit more seasoning. 5/10 The bottom of the Asparagus was very bitter and more on the crunchy side. 3/10 The pesto complimented the halibut very nicely. It has a nice twang to it that goes very, very well with the meat. 6/10 The fish itself could use some salt. It was nice, crispy, and flaky. I was slightly disappointed because of the lack of parmesan in the fish. I could barely taste it. The fish tasted amazing in the garnish 7/10 Garnish sauce. 10/10
Rum Euphoria The cake was amazing. It was moist and cool. The berry garnish was the sweetest berries I ever had. The rum used on the cake was also a perfect compliment to the chocolatey outer layer. Perfectly executed! 10/10
