Juanito's — Restaurant in San Antonio

This is probably the best for your money Mexican food I have had. Other than in Mexico. I had a carne guisada taco and a crispy beef taco. Before tax it was less than $4 for both. The carne guisada was the authentic kind WITHOUT the red chili powder gravy. It was a bit on the fat side, but very tasty and tender. They did not skimp on the meat either which was very surprising at only $1.98. The crispy taco was stuffed and overflowing, but I did ask for onions and extra cheese . The meat was tasty and not over seasoned. The only minor complaint was the shell which was a little too thick and slightly overdone. The girl who took my order and the young man who fixed it and brought it out to me(got it to go) we're both very pleasant and smiled and said thank you. Like they meant it. Went today to buy a caldo and couldn’t believe it it was tasteless no flavor at all I had never experienced that before and some time before my enchiladas were all over my bag didn’t realize till I got home with the order I was so mad at the time that I just tossed it on the to go orders utensils have been forgotten all this just started to get like these a couple of months ago I hadn’t said nothing but when my food no flavor and it looked like I was drinking dirty water instead I don’t know if you all hired new people that don’t care but I want the old Juanitos back because being on a budget and not getting quality service is not good for your business concerned in...

Juanito’s might be a drive-thru only joint, but don’t let that fool you—this place is serving up serious flavor. I ordered the enchilada plate, and it was next level. The enchiladas were smothered in a bold, flavorful red sauce with melty cheese and a side of rice and beans that tasted like pure comfort. You can tell everything is made with love.
