La Chiquita Fruteria — Restaurant in San Antonio

First time here. We ordered a fruit cup and a bowl of bloody gummy worms/bears. There was a language barrier as we didn’t speak much Spanish but we showed pictures of the bloody gummies to make sure she knew what we were trying to say. She seemed to understand because she reiterated gummies con chamoy. She started to get the sour gummies and we had to stop her because we just wanted the classic plain gummies. We finally got our order and then we were trying to figure out how to pay because she went to the next customer. Finally figured out how to pay for our food. Got to the car and the fruit tasted old and the gummies were so stale and hard. We were really upset but didn’t want to go back in so we just left. They do not welcome you nor do they acknowledge you. When it was time to order I asked for a “fresonada” which you assume it will look like the picture well it didn’t , the picture has gummy worms and other sorts candy’s and topped off with chamoy well she said it’s either cream with candy or chamoy , so why advertise something and not serve it. Then I order vasos de fruta , never asked what kind of fruit so I assumed she was going to ask once she got to making it , SHE DIDNT she said she assumed it was all fruits since I didn’t tell her anything in specific, first fruteria EVER that doesn’t ask what kind of fruit and just assumes you what all...

Great place indoor accommodation is wonderful and outdoor seating also. Wonderful service and have also got a look at it first hand as i was offered a job. Wonderful people and great friendly service. Have plenty of options and varieties of food, ice cream and other things. Have always loved this place every time i go. Have music inside and tv also.
