Los Laureles — Restaurant in San Antonio

We came here a while back and the food was so so. This time was a big disappointment. We thought we would give it another chance because they had American cheese. But to our regret the service was mediocre and the food was the just as. I had the country a La Mexicana with avocado, it was oily without any flavor I could only taste avocado. The hot sauce would have been good if it had not started to go bad and overtook the flavor with the spoiled taste. The second bottle of hot sauce they brought was also spoiled.There was no apology for thie spoiled sauce they served us. I ordered a carne guisada Taco with American cheese. The guisada is made with a good quality meat but the gravy was flavorless. The one positive note about this place is they use American cheese instead of cheddar. We will never return here again. It seems like the ownership changed hands. They are now also serving some sort of Central American food which makes the authenticity of their Mexican food a little suspect. And last not least they served our second cup of coffee mixed with tea which I do not think it was a accident. As I said never again. I would not...

It's such a shame that their servers are rude and just all-around not good at serving. I have been here multiple times, and the service was always below average even though the servers knew I was a regular. I was in the middle of talking to the server and about to give my order when she walked away, and I had to wait a while and had to ask if I could give my to-go order. I had to wait for a while to get my tacos and drank my iced tea while my tacos sat at the ready counter for a while. After I asked for a refill and they would not refill my drink even if I was willing to pay for a refill. The way they told me was rude and not helpful at all. What would it have cost the server to just refill my iced tea, especially since they had me wait so long. I'm so sad that the bad service won't have me going back, especially since I work close by and would be willing to go often for lunch and love to support local businesses. I really felt so unappreciated on multiple occasions, and this felt like the last straw. I won't be going back because of that unless my experience gets some...

Waitress customer service was not good. Not one greeting, no refill offers, no smile, attitude not great at all. Overcharged our food, charged a tea (per Supervisor) that my elder mother did not drink because of it's taste, tortillas were overcooked, didn't give us our ticket and approached us as we were leaving with her arms crossed (?). We had to ask the cashier to repeat our order to make sure it was correct. She hesitated at first but then read it to us. I hope the waitress grows a better work attitude because customer service should be her first priority. It didn't look like she was having a good day.
