Stopped in for lunch since the reviews were pretty good.

The place is pretty cozy with about 8 booths and 3 tables that seat 2 so I had to wait for a table but not long. It was lunch time after all.

Ordered an iced tea, guacamole as an appetizer and the chicken flautas.

The iced tea turned out to be sweet tea, which is fine cause I love sweet tea, I just try not to drink it so much. Just wish I would have been told that because I'd put two sweet and low in it before trying it so it was very sweet lol.

There must have been a misunderstanding on the guacamole as an appetizer because my flautas came and they gave me a extra side of guacamole in a bowl.

The guacamole is just mashed avocado with maybe a hint of salt. No tomato, onion or peppers.

Flautas we're good and crispy. The rice was pretty good but the beans could do with some salt.

The waitress Silvia was very nice.

Overall I thought it was an alright place for a...

This is a very small restaurant. They do not have many tables open for dining. Not suitable for more than 4 people, it is tight in here.

There is no seating available while you're waiting either to dine in, or for take out. If you do come in & add your name to the waiting list, don't expect for them to go out of their way to call your name, if you are not inside ( which is nearly impossible ) they will skip you, and call whoever is next.

The wait staff also perform other duties, so don't expect prompt service. They are chaotic, and don't have any sense of efficiency at all.

Lastly, the "chicharrones" were a complete waste of money for me, bland taste, and when you buy to take home don't expect any condiments to be in your order. No tortillas, no salsa, no napkins, nothing more than overpriced "chicharrones", which sadly weren't what I know they should be.

I will not be...

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! If I could give more than 5☆ I would! This is just a small gesture at what this place is really like, absolutely amazing staff and food!!!! The staff here is helpful and extremely friendly, and they will steer you in the right direction, though I don't see how you could go wrong going here in the first place! The cooks and owner in the back are very friendly and helpful as well and love feed back and run with it! The food here is heavenly and just authentic, really takes you to Mexico for a plate of homestyle food! They are now becoming famous for the Monterrey Chicharrones! Please do YOURSELF a favor and come try them for yourself. I am from Mexico and have lived in the US for many many years and will testify that these chicharrones would make Aaron Sanchez blush!!!! Guy Fieri absolutely needs to come check this little gem in San Antonio out for...

I stopped by this spot recently and ordered the chilaquiles—absolutely delicious! The chips were perfectly crispy, even under all that rich, flavorful salsa. I went with the green sauce, which had just the right amount of heat, and the crema and queso fresco on top brought it all together. The eggs were cooked perfectly (I got mine over easy), and the portion size was generous without being overwhelming. Service was quick and friendly, and the vibe of the restaurant was cozy and welcoming. Definitely a place I’d come back to for a solid breakfast or brunch. If you’re a chilaquiles fan, this place is worth checking out.
