Marble Slab Creamery — Restaurant in San Antonio

Took my family here last night. Ordered one of their designer ice cream mixes in a cone. The girl helping me and my family gave it to me in a cup instead of a cone. I asked for two scoops and it looked like one large scoop in a small cup. It was already well on its way to melting as well. I told the girl I had ordered a cone. She apologized and literally just moved the ice cream from the cup to a cone. She gave me the wrong cone but I didn't notice immediately because the cone only had enough ice cream in it to fill the cone up to the bottom of the opening of the cone. The upper 3rd of the cone had no ice cream. I was going to eat half the cone before I got to the ice cream. I looked at her, looked at the pictures of ice cream cones all over the display case (showing a huge dollop of ice cream overflowing the top of the cone), looked at my cone, then asked her if this was two scoops of ice cream. I am truly surprised to see so many negative reviews for this location. I popped by earlier today with my boyfriend just to grab some cups of ice cream and was impressed to see so many flavors available. The employee was patient as I asked to sample two of the flavors which I ended up ordering and my boyfriend also tried one. She quickly scooped our ice cream, inquired about topping choices, and helped us check out. We sat down to eat our ice cream and ended up eyeing the cookies & cream stuffed cookie - that’s right.. an oreo stuffed inside of a cookie - YUM. We ordered 4 since they are running a special where if you buy 3, you get 1 free. The place was clean from the counters to the tables and the floors. The staff was friendly & the ice cream was delicious. I had a scoop of coconut & a scoop of amaretto ice cream. My boyfriend had coconut & birthday cake & we both enjoyed it very much. I'll start off by saying that the shakes myself and my boyfriend got was delicious (Swiss chocolate with oreo added and dark chocolate with oreo), but we both ordered a regular size shake. My boyfriends shake was only about 3/4 full and my shake was only a little over half full, even with whipped cream. Both shakes were also very thin, like too much milk (I assume they use milk as a thinner for the shake, correct me if I'm wrong) was added. I'm also assuming that the person who helped us was new due to them looking like they were checking the recipe to make sure they made it correctly. I also believe that the way they made our shakes was due to the fact that they were working by themselves and may have felt rushed since a few more people walked in behind us.
