First time ever going to Shipleys donuts and experienced horrible customer service. Tuesday 07/30 at 6:40 pm. Tried entering the lobby so I could see the donuts as I have never been here before but the lobby was closed. Saw only one girl inside sitting down and she motioned for us to use the drive thru. Okay no worries. We pulled up the drive thru and we were sitting there for a few minutes and she didn’t come to the window… We got confused and figured maybe we were too far away from the window, we pulled in at a weird angle and so we did a quick circle around and then she opened the window. I’m assuming her name was Jessica because that’s the cashiers name on my receipt but she seemed very irritable. She asked us if we were ready and my husband had told her we needed a moment because I needed to pull up the menu on my phone as neither of us had ever been here before and there were no pictures at their drive thru. Took me a few seconds to pull up the menu, not even a minute passed and my husband asked her what kind of donut holes they have she said “just glazed” and as I was looking at the donuts I was showing my him a few and she rudely said “do I need to come back?” And we told her no, we were just looking at the donuts real quick and we proceeded to order..
She just seemed in a rush and annoyed like as if she had a line of people in side to attend to which would have been understandable if she did but the lobby was closed and no one was behind us in the drive thru. We were her only customer.
Aside from that the donuts were DELICIOUS and very soft and my husband was very shocked and happy to see a chocolate coconut donut on your menu because apparently he hadn’t had one since he was a kid when HEB used to sell them in their bakery the same way. Donuts were great but definitely will never come to this location again because of the...
Read moreI usually love Shipleys more than any other donut place in town and we went out of our way to go to this one since it was the only one open around 6:30 on a Sunday. Unfortunately the donuts were stale and didn’t really live up to the typical Shipley taste either. We also really didn’t like that it was drive through only after 6pm with no menu or ability to see what they still had available. The only option when we found out they were out of what we wanted was to ask the worker at the window who didn’t really seem to want to go into any detail in what they still had or want to move so we might be able to see behind her to the case. In general she just made us feel like we were wasting her time trying to figure out what else we could order. I’m not sure if this was just an off day but going off this encounter I would not go out of your way to visit...
Read moreFirst time going to this location I was excited that I had found a Shipleys near my job since I work early in the morning, only to find out my doughnut was stale and cold, and I was told after I asked about the donuts being fresh and warm that I could put it in the microwave, my cell to warm it up because it would take too much time from the lady assisting me, although they had no customers in the building I was truly drawn back a little, because I did not understand first off how I was receiving a code, still doughnut from a place that usually serve them fresh which can the doughnut had been...
