This review is for: TACOS RODEO JALISCO Mexican Restaurant
Experience: Stopped by this restaurant for a quick bite. I did not see a sign, to wait to be seated so I walked up to the counter to order/paid/tipped. The cashier did not ask if I wanted to dine in or take out. Found her a bit rude. I went to the restroom then sat down. A waitress came by and asked if I was ready to order. I let her know I already ordered at the counter and she let the platter? know because I could hear everything that was going on in the back. Another waitress brings my drink and food. I noticed other tables were brought chips and salsa and I was not. & maybe that's my mistake for ordering first. Around 2pm it wasn't busy at all. food came out quickly
My order: I ordered a Gordita with 'everything' Carne Asada. The everything was cheddar cheese, lettuce, and Pico de Gallo. And a limonada
Food Critiques: The Gordita was very thin and crispy. I'd expected to be a bit more dense like most Gorditas. The lettuce was cut in chunks and would be better sliced thinner to fit into the Gordita. The cheddar cheese tasted great and looked fresh. The Pico was okay, it tasted more like tomatoes and jalapeños.
The drink was not real limonada unfortunately
The restaurant: Lots of seating! Definitely a plus for a little or big crowd. There are tables for 2, 4, and more. As well as spacious outdoor seating. The only thing, is the echo from the kitchen.. on a busy day/ night I bet you can't hear it.
Restroom: the women's Restroom is located towards the back of the restaurant and is a typical Restroom. I liked the faucet on the sink!...
Read moreThis place has generally been good, up to now! We ordered two barbacoa taco’s and mistakenly instead wanted to go with a plate. The girl Ana in front, so that’s what she said her name was, opened the two taco’s and told the cook to put one portion back into there barbacoa pot and one taco into the plate. She originally told me she would put the two taco portion into the plate, well she lied. I got home and checked and was only one. I called and she said sorry but that’s what you get for canceling the first order.so she said I can give you your money back so drove all the way back, and gave her the plate back. At an extra $3.20 she took the plate back and made me two taco’s. At this point my kids are just hungry and don’t care. Asked to speak to a manager and she said she’s the only one and that she can’t give the identity of owner. I hope he or she reads this and cares enough to respond with contact info. It’s plane unethical to be passing around food or even throwing it away. She should just charge me extra the first time around and I would’ve avoided all that driving! This place really disappointed me with it’s greed and lack of care for...
Read moreI came here with my mother and sister to try out the restaurant since it was very close to our house, and that it was a new location.
Our first experience was just great! The service was friendly, punctual, and quick. We used to go to Chuys that's on the side of Hey 151 and pay an upwards of 88 plus dollars for a dinner for four (dad included). But coming here to De Rodeo yielded the same high quality food as Chuys, but at a substantially lower cost; our visit was 40 dollars! And then there is the drink they had... called the Melon, it's a juice drink made of cantelopes, and oh my oh my! It was just delicious and Divine! Try out the Melon when you get a chance!
The employees there are great! They maintained their professionalism, they were quick to address issues, fulfill requests, and everything else. I give a salute to their cook for making such delicious foods!
I definitely hope they place keeps up their good work! We will definitely be coming back again, whether for a dine in,...
