Visiting this establishment and figuring that the service would be better than the below standard one on Bandera & Wilson locale, my husband and I ventured to this store located at Potranco. While service was speedy it was inadequate. We ordered a 16 PC tenders (spicy), fries, corn on the cob and red beans-n-rice. We got non-spicy, mashed potatoes and cold fries. My husband called back and spoke with someone who Identified himself as a manager named Gabriel. Manager said that we would get an 8PC family meal for the inconvenience. My husband told him we would do that some other time as we were now home, a long drive away. He responded, "just come by anytime,. We will make it up to you." Calling back 2 days later 10/18/2020 at 7:26pm my husband spoke with someone who Identified himself as Isaac,.the one to stand in for Gabriel by saying, "that would be me" after being asked if he could speak with the manager (in view of the absence of Gabriel.) He proceeded to say that Gabriel had made no note of it and he wasn't going to call him because he was at another job and could not call him. This is all the assistance we got. I love Popeye's...in fact Popeyes was my first job in life in the 1980's, but no one in this life is indispensable and my loyalty can only go so far. Standards matter, and supervision goes a long way. This isn't a big brother situation, this is just maturity reflected in efficiency, integrity and pride in your business and product. I have vented, but will not be coming back. I know you will do fine as a new generation will take my place and get used to this lowered expectation service...or you can choose better....
Read morePlaced a mobile order online and my wife picked it up. Once she returned home we opened the boxes and noticed that the chicken was more than 16 pieces. We then thought because the tenders were smaller than normal. The chicken was actually very very hard. We had to pick through the chicken just to get some type of meat off it. It was a very horrible experience. My kids were very disappointed. My daughter hurt her tooth while trying to bite down into the hard tenders and I told her to just stop and I would pick around it. We were very hungry and did not want to drive allll the way back. So I called and the first employee female answered the phone, (hello) no hi thank you for calling Popeyes’s, my name is? I asked to speak to the manager on duty and she said he was outside and to call back in 5 mins. Once I called back the manager picked up and I informed him of the issues and he said he would need the chicken back. I explained to him that I’m not going to have my wife drive back up there and that there was nothing but scraps due to the fact that we had to pick through it. So he proceeded to ask his GM if we could get a credit and he said that the GM said no, and they would need the product back. I asked for Corporate # and informed them that I would be contacting corporate. No one should be served food like that. It was hard as a rock and my baby hurt her tooth trying to chew it. I was told by Bruce that he couldn’t do all dark.I told him that it doesn’t say another about not being able to do all dark, he turn around and told me he doesn’t make the app, I told him I know you don’t but because it’s with company it should be honor. He then told me that he can do a refund instead. I never ask for a refund. I then ask to speak to a manager and he told me I’ll get him. He then comes back to give me my chicken and I ask him where the other manager, he then proceeds to tell me he’s the only manager because tell me to have a good day and closes the window while I’m still trying to talk to him. I went inside to find ass for a refund since you wanted to be smart with me. I finally got to speak to another manager, but he was still interrupting me and the other manager, he finally had to tell him to step away and he was handling it. I even mentioned the fact that he lied and said he was the only manager that called to clarify how many managers were at that location at that moment and was told there was three and told him that I was told there was three and then turned around and told me well good for you . I’ve gone to this location plenty of times and never been mistreated and will not bring my business back. He needs to be retrained and know how to get customer service.
