Smitty's Pub — Restaurant in San Antonio

I was in there and watched a drunk cop that they use as their security mishandle an overserved customer. As i was discussing this with my friend, the bartender (ALLY) told me to shut up and i didnt see anything. She then refused to serve me any more drinks. I believe she was covering for her drunk cop friend. I dont know if he is active police but if he is, i took pictures of him taking shots then resume working. Even if he isnt active police the implications of working as bar staff drunk is a serious offense. Even way i will be following up with san antonio internal investigations. It was alright... Nothin to write home about. I go a lot of places alone and the regulars here weren't as friendly and welcoming as a lot of other places I go to. Bartender didn't make much attempt to have a conversation with me. Which is not awful, but as a bartender myself I always make a point to make new people especially women sitting alone feel comfortable and not left out. Beer was cold. I left after 2.5 beers. Excellent local bar. Non pretentious, friendly staff, great prices, decent selection of beverages including ciders. They aren't catering to people who sip their flight of whiskeys with a pinky out: they have shots and mixed drink whiskeys. Do they have finer stuff? I haven't even bothered to ask.
