This was my first visit. I had a fierce craving for Indian cuisine and I did an internet search for the best authentic Indian cuisine in San Antonio and this place made the cut. I ordered veggie samosas and shrimp pakoras. These are fried appetizers. I will say that the drive back to Cibolo pretty much obliterated any crispiness they had going on. Taste wise they were good though. I also ordered the shrimp biryani, tarka dal fry, and mushroom matar masala. The amount of biryani they gave me was huge with a capital H. Everything was pretty good but my absolute favorite was the tarka dal fry. Very flavorful. I ordered everything in a medium spice level, but I think I'll go up a spice level next time. I got a container of basmati rice with these dishes. I forgot to order naan which was an idiotic move on my part so don't forget to order it. I also ordered the mango lassi for the road. Holy mother of goodness, it was delicious. If you like the subtle tanginess and creaminess of yogurt and the sweetness and flavor of mango, this is worth a try. I was sad when I realized it was all gone. They went to great lengths in securing my to go order. The styrofoam containers were either wrapped in plastic wrap or taped shut. The liquid entrees were in secure plastic containers. Not one drop was spilled on my long drive back home. The man at the front, I'm assuming owner, was very pleasant...

After going to many Indian restaurants and being excited this place had so many positive reviews, we tried it and unfortunately did not live up to the expectations. The tandoori mixed plate did not taste like it was made in tandoor but grabbed from the buffet (which tasted like it was made in regular oven) and slapped onto my plate and they cut some extra meats and threw it on there. It was covered in a wet sweet sauce which I am not accustomed to, resembled some chinese dish. I chose this plate from the menu and was disappointed. The Naan all tasted the same from the garlic naan, onion naan and the regular naan. I could not taste the difference. The only naan that tasted different was the chilli naan. The mango milkshake tasted exactly like mango lassi and was room temperature. I dont know why you would put that on the menu if there is no difference. Everything else was alright. The rice was not hot and tasted very generic no spices or anything in it. For someone who hasn't tried Indian food, this may be the place to start with but for the more experienced, I'd recommend Indian Oven. I felt their food was more flavorful and their naan is wonderful. I hope this business learns from their mistakes because it seems they are cutting a lot of corners and charging the same as other places with better quality. They either need to lower their prices or increase...

Such a friendly and clean place. They are taking extra precautions during COVID. Although buffets are open, it is not self serve. Very clean experience. If you're hungry and can't wait in a buffet line of maybe 5 minutes max, then learn some patience. Naan comes out fresh to every table. They are short staffed so be patient for the naan too. The manager/owner and staff are so sweet and diligently working! Waters are refilled constantly and no container contact is made when refilling! Skills brah.

Then the food....delicious! Only one of the 4 masala buffet dishes is spicy. They have a fresh spicy sauce they make that adds a perfect spice to any dish. I enjoy none-mild spice and could eat every dish at this buffet enjoyably without added spice. The mango pudding is not too sweet. Pairs well wilth the rice pudding and even most delicious with those dessert balls, gulab jamun. My husband ate his first buffet plate without added spices and 2nd plate with added spices...he was in heaven. He had his desserts separately and thought they were decent. Then he tried the desserts mixed like mine...he was sold.

We will definitely return here. Next time with our kids, a no spice 6 yr old and a give him all the spices 8 yr old. Great prices, even menu items! Less than $12/person...

A Flavorful Feast From the outside, this building appears small, but this Indian buffet restaurant proves that size is no measure of quality. Stepping inside, I was immediately welcomed by the enticing aroma of spices, hinting at the flavorful journey ahead. As someone new to the Indian buffet experience, I was delighted by the sheer variety of options available. From fragrant curries to sizzling meats, the selection catered to both mild and spice-loving palates alike. The rice was exceptionally light and fluffy. Each grain distinct and perfectly cooked. But one of the standout stars of my meal was something unexpected... the cabbage. Cooked to perfection, it was flavorful and satisfying, a true testament to the restaurant’s attention to even the simplest of ingredients. Beyond the food, the intimate setting of the restaurant makes it a perfect spot for a cozy lunch or dinner date. While the space is small, it adds to the warmth and authenticity of the dining experience. This visit has left such a lasting impression that I’m already planning my return, this time with my family in tow. If you’re looking for a place that serves authentic Indian flavors with a welcoming atmosphere, this buffet is well worth a visit.

First time there....LOVED IT..... Doesn't look like much from the outside but don't judge this book by the cover.... Once inside it's clean and bright..... Several food selections so I took a taste of everything..... I think I'm now addicted to their crispy cumin seed crackers YUM ....they have comfortable seating (i'm plus size) and was very cozy.....a little dusty on the wall by the booth but everything else was clean..... The water was crisp cold n fresh.....their naan was soooo hot and soft perfect......wonderful tikka sauces.......the workers/owner were so kind and friendly and when I asked about some of the food items they just made me feel like a visiting relative.......the only complaint I would make is that the meatballs were cold inside..... I'm sure they're precooked and just needed to be heated up so I ate one of them anyway......I so enjoyed something in a sauce with peas I forgot the name it think it was mattar paneer with such aromatic flavors I wanted seconds but the crispy samosas we're super stuffed with spiced potatoes i should've only taken one......simply delicious!!!

Went here for a special occasion a friend was having. They had a little private room at the back set up for our group. From what I understand there was no charge for the room and that was nice to have this large room to ourselves. The buffet was $18 for dinner. Lots of good choices probably one of the best choices I've seen in a while in similar type restaurants. They actually had vegetable samosas. They had quite a few options for vegetarians and also gluten-free, as well as fresh vegetables. The desserts were a few great choices as well, from sugary desserts to fresh fruits. One of my friends mixed the mango pudding with the rice pudding which I thought would not work until I ate it. The flavors melted into each other beautifully. I know some of you know I love a good unsweet tea, and I'm almost ashamed to say I must have had six or seven glasses LOL. And I have to mention that the service was fantastic. I don't think any of us ever wanted for anything. FYI, just to let you know, the vegetables samosas were a bit on the spicy side, but that's what made me love them more!
