This was my first time there I always pass it up on my way to work. I walked in and asked the man if his carne quisada was brown gravy or red gravy. He let me look at a sample and it was red gravy and I didn’t like that so I told him I would order something else. I don’t think that he liked that very much. His name was Pepe. So I guess he didn’t like that I didn’t want that so he left me standing there. I asked him for a menu. He didn’t answer me one of the other ladies named Sarita She was a waitress. She handed me a menu and took my order because about the only person there who had customer service. Across from me was the owner. I’m assuming her name is Suki. I’m not too sure. And the reason I know that is because I asked the waitress Sarita who the owner was . I was also asking who that guy was who was very rude.. I ordered a chorizo egg taco, which was not the greatest!! And I ordered a large sweet tea. The chorizo and egg was more so greasy than tasty and it also lacked flavor. As I was walking out, I asked Sarita for her name and for his name and that’s how I found out who the owner was sitting at the table. My leaving the restaurant she comes charging out with the spray bottle in her hand. She comes towards my vehicle and starts spraying my supposedly her parking lot with holy water. So I asked her why are you spraying my vehicle and she said no this this is holy water and I’m spraying my parking lot because God gave me a gift and I healed children for free whatever that means. I told her I am not able you don’t gotta spray my vehicle and I asked her kindly to step away from my vehicle and not spray it with whatever it is that she had in that bottle. I don’t have anything against Homie water and I love my God to the fullest, but I don’t know what she was sprained my vehicle with. Their customer service was the worst other than Sarita. The cook in the back where you can see very clearly had a stank face like she hated her job. For Peppe to have the expression on his face and the attitude that he has he should be in the back somewhere, not dealing with the Public. This restaurant let me down. I had high hopes for it. And their food was not good. The customer service was the worst. And I definitely will not be...
Read moreHave been a customer of sukie's since we were very young. We grew up on Fresno street so many neighbors in the area always have eaten at Sukie's wonderful prices and sukie greeted you as you walked in. The staff she had for so long knew us all by name always was a warm and friendly atmosphere, Since her passing, we have been there at least three times, new waitress seem to only focus on male customers, we had to get up and get our own creamers, napkins, etc. The food is just not the same. Not at all friendly the way it once was. Sukie use to tell us that her daughter wanted to change things but sukie wouldn't allow it. It was once a great place but it no longer is, food is now horrible, service is down the drain. A shame after all these years we will miss going to sukies. Maybe change is better for the younger generation but not for the ones that devoted their loyalty to Sukie's for so many years. So many from the neighborhood are now going else where. Sukie will always be missed I'm sure she is turning in her grave if she could see the type of staff now employed and the bad service and food that has dissolved. All these years...
Read moreThe problems begin with their sign. They forgot to put the letter "c" between the u and the k. As you walk in you see a giant sign advertising tacos for $1.75. So I ordered two. Next thing I know the woman tells me, it's seven dollars. I called her attention to the sign, and she laughs says "Ohhhh thats not on weekends!" The fact that this place ended up with a 4.6 rating on 352 reviews there's a good testimony to the fact that most people in san antonio apparently have a lousy taste when it comes to restaurants. The chorizo & egg tacos were not only ridiculously overpriced, they were absolutely utterly tasteless with industrial grade tortilla and without a doubt, the least spicy chorizo of all time. Yes you get service with a smile, but I'd be smiling too if I was making that kind of money...
