Was initially excited when I saw our neighborhood was getting a Hibachi restaurant. I was able to convince the neighbors and their wives to do a date night and get dressed up… We definitely over dressed and we were disappointed. Food was great, but it’s more of a to go place and ghost kitchen than a sit down hibachi dinner & a show. Also exhaust fan needs to be improved. We roughed it out and stayed and had our dinner but it was so Smokey inside it was burning our eyes. Staff eventually propped open the door to let the smoke out. I don’t want to discount how great we were treated and how delicious the food was, but definitely NOT what we expected when we saw Hibachi Bar. Also they don’t serve liquor drinks and only serve canned sodas and bottled water. Learned our lesson and will only order out from here. Will be finding a different neighborhood sit down restaurant.

I'm so much of a regular at Sumos restaurant, I don't care for the show these days,I just want to eat ! So I  decided to try the new spot. It is a bit small with only 4 tables, and the ventilating system isn't so well, so it's a bit smokey inside, considering the grill is in the dining area. But I will say, the cook was on point ! The food was REAL GOOD ! And I don't say that about too many at the restaurant. We have our few favorites, but for this spot, this cook is my fave so far ! If only I had gotten his name. I ordered the sirloin well done with chicken fried rice. The one thing I did miss was getting the soup n salad with my meal, but overall, this cooks food was so good and I'm glad !! I'll definitely be back !

I had a fantastic meal at Sumo Sumo Hibachi! I ordered the steak and shrimp combo with veggies and fried rice, and everything was cooked to perfection. The steak was tender and flavorful, the shrimp were juicy and fresh, and the vegetables had a great texture and seasoning. The fried rice was a perfect complement—savory and satisfying. The overall experience was enjoyable, and the service was friendly and efficient. Also, be ready to have left overs!

Absolute banger location. The previous tenant, Nama ramen, was a sacred place to us locals in the neighborhood, and Sumo Sumo respectfully fills the void it left (by moving a few blocks away).

When you open your car door you can smell just how amazing the food is. Tasted incredible. Really good value/prices. One of the best spicy edamame dishes I have ever eaten. Staff and the chef at the grill was extremely kind, good vibes all around there.

We ordered pick up, but if you want to dine in they did a good job at making this small place feel roomy and comfortable with 4 benches that seat 4 each.

I’m so glad this place exists, it will be a regular order from us. Great...
