Spring Time Park — Attraction in San Antonio

SKATEPARK REVIEW: Springtime is a 2.5 star park in my opinion. Although it is not the ideal park and alot of the obstacles are dysfunctional it definitely gets the job done with plenty of ample flat ground space and the local skate community is respectful and enjoyable. This park is nice in the sense that it can accommodate for all levels of skateboarding, but unfortunately it is often overrun by children on bikes & scooters which can be frustrating and make it inaccessible to skate. I have not been to the skatepark since "Vans" was there, maybe 4-5 years ago. They have changed it since; I would say for the worse. My son has been out there and said it is really different, and not as fun as before. Concerning the pool; 35 years ago I could have told you the swimming pool was awesome, they had a snack bar and everything. I have heard that it is nothing like before. They do not have a snack bar and got rid of the grass inside the gates near the pool area. I'm not too positive on the grass part but I do know that they got rid of the snack bar like...

I really appreciate that the city took the time to update the park as I haven't been in years. Now, from a skater's perspective I was a little disappointed. It feels like they were going for more of an aesthetic look more than the actual functionality of the park. I didn't really find a flow in this park. I spent most of my time on the small fun box. Thankfully, the skate community is encouraging and it's always nice to have a place we can come together, meet new people and hype each other up. This'll be my go-to...
