Taqueria El Guanajuatense — Restaurant in San Antonio

This restaurant is close to our house and we decided to give it a try. The tacos are a good size and the price is reasonable. In the past, you could sit inside. Now, you sit outside next to the building. The benches are nice and it is covered. The fence is tall and it doesn't feel inviting. When you order your food. They give you a cool tag or buzzer to inform you the order is ready. It's a little to much in my opinion because it's a small place. I didn't see restrooms in the area. I believe you go to the store next door. 🫤 We ordered bean and cheese tacos, and potatoe and egg. My boys didn't like the beans. I thought they were fine. The potato and egg was good. This going to be late review but I had bad menudo here back in August 2022. I didn’t notice until I finished half of it but there was a lot of tiny hairs on the meat and I had never seen it before when my mom made it or ate at another restaurant. First I thought maybe it’s normal and I was just blind to see that tiny hairs before come to Texas but still was disgusting for me so I stopped eat menudo since I had here. but today I craved to eat menudo again so I looked for good menudo in SA and saw bunch of reviews and there was a lady reviewing that she had same experience like I had at another restaurant and mentioned if there is tiny hairs on meat in menudo that means the restaurant is using cheap meat and that meat is usually used for...

Went there a couple weeks ago...

Wait staff was rude. Eggs were overcooked in my ranchero plate I asked for crispy bacon and it came semi chewy, and when I asked for it crispy a second time and they gave it to me burnt. My wife ordered a machacado taco (dry meat and eggs) with no chile, she received a taco with only chile and the meat. We told our waitress about this and she argued with us "no, that's how you ordered it"... She was essentially complaining to us that they were going to lose money because they are going to have to throw the food away.
