Johnston Branch Library — Attraction in San Antonio

Very poorly managed voting location. We had a very annoyingly rude experience. My son has a disability so he took several days to research the candidates and had a spreadsheet on his tablet with the candidates he was going to vote for.

He was told to put the tablet away as if he was committing a criminal act. I then said, he"s using it for the notes he took down on the candidates. She then turned her attention towards me and began to correct me in the most condescending tone but I could not hear her clearly since I have hearing loss from RA.

She then says she can assist my son by filling out a note card but it was already too late since he had already started the electronic voting process. Why is there not someone at the door offering that option for those who are disabled or just want to research the candidates before voting.

My son was visibly upset since he could not remember who he had chosen and also could not understand what the man at the front desk was asking so he chose the wrong...

Raquel is very rude and disrespectful. When we asked for help putting money in my account she mumbled under her breath and gave us attitude. Then we simply asked for help with the printer because it was not working and she physically saw that it was taking our money and shrugged it off. She then went to her coworker laughed at us and told us someone would come help us (nobody ever did) she continued to help other people. Her and her coworker were talking amongst themselves saying “well they can wait it out”. We asked for her name and she did not want to give it to us she until she finally said it was raquel we asked for her last name but she asked why we needed it and proceeded not to give it to us that was the final straw the manager is definitely going to...

Super friendly staff. I could live here. They have WiFi, and you can use their desktop computers or check out a laptop to use if you have a library card, which is free to obtain. It's a great place to study or do homework, and printing your stuff is affordable as well. The staff is friendly and approachable, and the entire library is very clean and organized. They have a dedicated teens area, and their children's storytime is fun to enjoy if you have little ones. The staff have recently redecorated the different areas so it's a very colorful and cheerful place to visit. Additionally, it's nice and cool inside, so it's a great place to get out of the...
