Taqueria El Tapatio De Jalisco de Hortencia — Restaurant in San Antonio

I went to eat here today because I was really hungry and this was the nearest Mexican restaurant right by my direction and the other good ones were already closed. I was looking at the menu and ordered a Torta de Asada. It was advertised as $4.99. I also had a water to drink so no reason to pay anything extra. I got my food and it was so flavorless along with the salsa they provided. Possibly the worst asada I've ever had. Once I finished my terrible food I went up to pay and the lady was charging me over 7 dollars. When I questioned the bill and said that the menu has the torta advertised as 4.99 she continued to tell me that the menu is outdated and it is now 5.99. I don't understand why they can't just print out new menus with their new prices instead of trying to nickel and dime people for food. The menus are just paper anyways nothing fancy, according to the waitress there the menus are "YEARS" old. I'm sorry, I don't like to give bad reviews but we definitely had a terrible experience here.. first and only time I'll ever come here again.. we waited forever for them to come and take our orders..never brought us chips and salsa.. until we asked them multiple times.. it was 6 of us.. some of got our food while it took forever for the others to get their food but incomplete.. my son didn't get half of what he ordered.. my sister same thing... yet we got charged for the missing items... the onion in my niece's fajitas, had the onion shell cut with the onion.. it was disgusting to see that.. one of my sisters who is vegetarian had ordered something without meat, and they brought her the dish, with meat lol I understand sometimes a business is understaffed, but people pay for their food. The manager here and server at the window are extremely rude. I go in today to order at drive thru, only to be charged more money for my order.

People please look at your receipts because they are up charging 1.00 more for food. There is no sign outside that prices have gone up, however when you go to pay they decide to up-charge you.

So I asked about it and the manager got upset about because I called her out on it. She decided for best business that she would give me my money back and tell me I’m not welcome there anymore.

I wonder if the restaurant is up to code.

I always give a restaurant I haven't been to a try and I must say that I was disappointed when it came to ordering breakfast tacos. I ordered papa and chorizo along with egg and ham. The tortillas were hard and very powdery. The eggs and ham were over cooked. The papa and chorizo just didn't have a pleasant taste....
