This place is kind of a paradox it's both good and bad

Their burgers are tasty. Overall I think the place is better than most . definitely better than that big place down the street I would choose this over that.

The burger patty seems to be of good quality I don't run into pieces of gristle or bone too often .

However I have a sneaking suspicion that they use MSG in their burgers or some kind of curing salt / meat tenderizer that may contain it . As with other places that do this seems to be leaving my palate dry for a long period of time after eating.

As well as one thing I can't understand as much money as these these places generate just from selling beverages. I can't understand what their excuse would be for having such a disgusting moldy smelling ice machine and beverage area pitiful I think there's no excuse for that.

As well as I think it reflects badly on the health department I don't see how he / she misses that.

Nothing against young people I was one myself this place seems to have a lot of employees thinking about what they're going to do when they get off work .I can say that I have a very hard time communicating with the cashier as much as I try to speak orderly and clearly for her.

As well as I saw one of the burger Preps drop a lid onto the floor and pick it up with his gloved hand and then went back to fixing burgers. So you might say there's a lack of professionalism here and most of the employees seem to have their head in the clouds thinking about what they're going to do when they get off.

I ended up with a soda when I ordered water and jalapenos on my burger when I ordered Jalapeno Jack. On my last visit.

This place does have a lot of potential if they did a little bit of rehab in the place and management kept a better eye on the really don't care kids they hire . which would be hard to do with as many as...

First visit to your restaurant to see what all the hubbub was about. The best thing I can say is the burger was tasty. Not great but good. The young girl taking our order was friendly and helpful. I requested a burger served without a bun and in fairness, should have asked about the presentation when I ordered it. It came on a plate with a mushy sliced tomato, sliced onions and a bit of lettuce. I also ordered a side salad. Had it been fresh it would have been satisfactory at best. I should have taken it back but opted to pick the numerous pieces of aged and wilted lettuce chunks out of the bowl. The chunks with pink edges could clearly be seen without disrupting the other contents within the bowl. Over 1/3 of the salad was inedible by anyone's standard. Clearly, the chef and waitstaff missed an opportunity to prevent it from being served. Tables inside were mostly occupied and the few available we're dirty. We chose to sit outdoors on tables that were visibly soiled and looked as if they had not been wiped in quite some time.

I feel bad for being so harsh but if this were my business I would want to know. A complaint is really a gift and any business person, proud of their restaurant would treat it as such. I see some potential Longhorn Cafe goers but this visit gets a...

First and most important - We LOVE Longhorn Cafe burgers! We used to go to the location off Hausman often before we moved so I was really excited to go to the Blanco Road location and get some burgers for dinner. We got there and ordered about 3:15 so the lunch rush was over and we had time before school was out (I had to pick up my son). We ordered and got our drinks and sat while things were getting prepared. Not in a big hurry - I did order a few burgers with fries. 30 minutes later, my daughter asked for an update. They said they had the fries and tater tots to finish and we were good to go. We asked again at 4:00 if we could just get what was ready so we could leave. There was a guy by the grill that made a comment about us asking a second time about our food. I asked what he said and he said to "get out of his restaurant". I am guessing that this 45 year old cook was not Paul Weir (I looked up a picture to make sure =) ). I was not looking for money back for the food we did not receive, I was not even wanting an apology for it taking way longer than it should have for burgers and fries BUT customer service is an easy thing to have and this fella sure made it easy to not go back to...
