I initially brought in a long chain to be shortened, with the remaining piece made into a bracelet, and also requested cleaning for both items.

At first, I was disappointed. The cleaning wasn’t done well — the same stains I’d pointed out were still there, and I felt the service didn’t match the price. When I brought it up, I didn’t receive a great response at the time, which made the situation frustrating.

However, a few days later, Fred personally called me, apologized for the situation, and offered to refund me the cleaning fee. That gesture showed a lot of integrity and professionalism. Mistakes can happen anywhere, but how a business handles those mistakes says everything.

I've been doing business with this company for a few years, I've purchased jewelry, gold, and silver. I buy g & silver as an investment. Last Friday when I was laid up from ankle pain, I sent my wife to thier shop to sell 40 ounces of silver, spot price was $25.90 per ounce, that's about $1,030.00. They offered my wife $840.00 and she took it. That was 20% off spot price, whereas it's always been around 3%-5% less than spot, and $190.00 less than its value. Personally, I think they just took advantage of my wife because she is a woman, because I never would have accepted 20% deduction.

I went back yesterday with the reciept, asked why, and they had a very bad explanation. So if you need batteries, or a cheap gift, go there, but be wise and warned that these guys might cheat you.

I came to know them from a family member and they were going to try and fix a vintage Mickey Mouse watch from the 50's. When they called me to pick it up I noticed that the arms had no gloves on? Two days later they called and located the white gloves hands for my watch. (short Version) customer service was unbelievable, since then they have made several diamond, sapphire and topaz rings, pendants and earrings. I left very expensive stones and they did NOT switch them out. This is a huge problem with some of the so called best Jewelry stores in SA. At one time they had 35,000. in diamonds, no worries.
