Two Rivers Tavern — Restaurant in San Antonio

Absolutely amazing layout! Large and spacious. Multiple pool tables, sweepstakes, karaoke and live bands. The main part is very classy, roomy, and has plenty of seating and standing room for karaoke. Exceptional sound quality, DJ was great. Singers could be heard throughout the whole bar and the music complemented the singers perfectly. Not deafening as some karaoke places can be!! Great vibe and atmosphere, patrons were very polite, and respectful. Bartenders and owners were very kind and welcoming. Very quick and efficient service. Very calm and safe bar. Legitimate security, no drugs running through the bar like many established I've seen throughout SA. Has a very upscale feel with a friendly down to earth vibe and a drama free setting. Plenty of seating throughout bar including large covered smoking patio. The food was delicious and a great price for the quality, quantity, and variety. Great mixed drinks made exactly as ordered. We like to visit Two Rivers on Monday nights for trivia (Tap TV), karaoke (the karaoke guy rocks), and sometimes a little food. The service here ranges from pretty good to dismissive. Tonight we arrived, and there was no trivia on the TV, and the bartender said that some other patrons asked them to turn the trivia TV to football. I asked if one of the other TV's could be changed to trivia, and was told that the reason there was no trivia on, was that TAP TV was not working. We had been starting to become semi regular customers, and it was disheartening to have our regular bartender lie to us. We ended up leaving, and are hoping things improve so we can go back. We will call to see if karaoke and trivia are happening if we decide to return. The three stars are for prior visits. We left tonight without ordering anything, so tonight's visits ZERO stars.
