The Great Customer service and food at this location left us speechless... The Bayseas here on Nacodoges Rd is sooo much better than the Bayseas off of FM78. It all started with the customer service. My wife and I were greeted promptly upon entrance and they allowed us to pick our own table. Both waitresses were very respectful, polite and extremely competent with their jobs. We ordered the Catfish and shrimp Combo, the Tilapia and shrimp Combo, Small bowl of Gumbo, meatloaf and two boudin sausages. The fish and shrimp combos came with fries, mine came with hush puppies and coleslaw. The meatloaf with brown gravy and small gumbo arrived first and served as our appetizers. Only took about 8 minutes from order till both were on our table. The flavors of each left us blown away. The gumbo was packed with shredded chicken, sausage and shrimp. Also had okra, and the flavor was robust and hearty, while packing a nice, subtle, spicy burn that was left over after each bite. The meatloaf and gravy was delicious. Had diced onions, and celery in it and the consistency of it was perfect. We tried slowing ourselves from eating too fast and too much because we wanted to wait on our main dishes but it was not an easy task. The main courses of our fried Fish and boudin sausages arrived about 15 minutes after our gumbo and meatloaf, which seemed to be perfect timing for us. Each plate was piping hot and we were impressed with both the large serving size on our plates and how consistent everything was in their temperatures and deliciousness. The fish was cooked to perfection so crispy, flakey, and buttery, we couldn't help buy stare at eachother in silence and disbelief as we chewed each bite. The hush puppies were crisp on the outside, but so soft and flavorful on the inside. The shrimp and fries matched the perfection of our fish and hush puppies and we couldn't stop eating. The Boudin sausages were so good we ate both of them. When all was said and done we each had 2 pieces of left over fish and fries we couldn't finish so we took them home to the kids. We have pictures of our food on our Facebook page. We'd like to thank the staff here and we highly recommend this Restaurant to anyone who loves fried fish and great service. This was the best fried fish we've had. One of the very best restaurants we've visited and reviewed together! This review is also posted on Google reviews! Thanks again Bayseas team for all your hard work and striving for perfection!

I had the pleasure of dining at Bayseas Catfish House located on O'Connor Road, and it becomes clear why this eatery is often buzzing with energy. The southern charm of this restaurant is appealing right off the bat. The rustic decor pays homage to traditional catfish houses in the South, and there's a comfort and familiarity in the atmosphere that's welcoming, warm, and unpretentious. Now onto the serious matter: the food. Bayseas Catfish House serves up Southern cuisine at its best. The catfish, undoubtedly their star attraction, was cooked to perfection. It was crispy on the outside, soft and succulent on the inside. The seasoning was spot-on, capturing the essence of southern flavors without overpowering the natural taste of the catfish. The sides and appetizers were no less enjoyable. Tried-and-true staples such as hush puppies and cole slaw were a delightful complement to the main dish, each one a validation of the genuine, homestyle approach Bayseas takes with their food. This review would be remiss without acknowledging the incredible service. The staff was courteous, attentive, and fast. From the moment you enter, the staff puts you at ease, letting you know that your dining experience is their top priority. Each interaction was infused with southern hospitality, making you feel not just like a customer but more of a guest in their home. Bayseas Catfish House is an authentic Southern culinary experience worth checking. The blend of amazing food, cozy ambiance, and stellar service makes for an incredibly satisfying and worthwhile visit. Absolutely recommended for anyone looking for great Southern cuisine in the area. You will leave feeling full and planning your next visit.

At Bayseas Catfish House you always get more than what you order. Not good for business but good for the customer. This time I ordered menu item 4. Catfish & shrimp platter. It includes 2 fish filets & 2 shrimp with fries. On my plate were 4 filets and 3 shrimp & at least two or more portions of fries. More than enough food for a second meal at home. The food served was hot, fluffy, & delicious. Ordered a small 6 oz cup of Gumbo. Compactly filled with rice, shrimp, sausage, chicken & hot spices. Spicey seasoning is so hot it bit the tongue. Would have preferred more rice and less meat in Gumbo. My cup of water was backed by a decanter of water. The waitress was nice, friendly & efficient. Although there is limited parking in front of the facility, allocated to handicap; the entire shopping center parking lot is available to customers.

This humble little place is staffed by probably the nicest people we have ever met! They are genuinely welcoming and show obvious interest in making sure every single aspect of your visit with them is everything they can make it. But as good as this is, let’s talk about the food.

We ordered the catfish and shrimp plates - one fried, one grilled. But we started with the gumbo. It was absolutely delicious and chock full of… everything. Shrimp, pulled chicken, sausage, veggies. Fantastic with a bit of a spicy kick.

The fried dish was lightly breaded and perfectly fried making the taste of the underlying fish and shrimp come through nicely. But the grilled dish was simply unbelievable! Perfectly seasoned with with an ultra-flavorful paprika blend. This is definitely worth coming back for all on its own!

We believe the desserts are made in house. The coconut cake was moist and awesome... and this is coming from someone who wouldn’t normally so much as try a coconut dessert of any kind. We tried the sweet potato pie because we’ve never had one. It was like pumpkin pie (which I love) without the spice taste (which made it even better). Finally, the peach cobbler which simply did not disappoint.

Heck, even the lemon sweet tea was the best we’ve ever had. But without exaggeration, this is the best service we have ever received in any restaurant. I think it’s a family operation which speaks volumes about the warmth and kindness of the family. If it’s NOT a family business (which frankly would surprise me) then kudos to the management for creating such an atmosphere. Excellent food. Unmatched service. A well deserved...
