Wendy's — Restaurant in San Antonio

So I been coming to Wendy's for a lil while so I can have an honest opinion when giving this review. First off I used to work at a Wendy's so I know the ins and outs of how everything works. That being said when placing your order the drive thru speaker should have more enthusiasm speaking to the customer (was greeted with a annoyed slow voice). Receiving the order was a more like getting it from a robot as the lady does not talk only looks and hands out the food. Lastly the food. I can tell you that yes it may be hot but all the patties I've ever tasted from this Wendy's have been dry and bland.(left staged to long and missed the salting step) The fries on the other hand have always been salted to the tee and hot as can be. I've always order meals never any value items untill the other day and it was a 4 for 4 , looked in my bag expected to see all my food and what do you know I'm missing a nugget...I'm not one to complain but come on if I payed for it you better make sure it's in there. With that being said this Wendy's is a few fries short of a happy meal.. stay blessed

UPDATE 2 YEARS LATER 1/6/24

I am ashamed of this Wendy's. They still haven't changed and still are using old patties, I order 2 triples and all 6 patties were barely edible and it was 515pm...not only that they took forever to take my order When the line was only 3 car deep. Y'all need to do...

This is all about timing. It happened to be Friday at meal time, and my wife says, "I'm not making dinner."

I've been to this particular Wendy's before, and the experience was a bit different. It seems the Friday crew might not have brought their "A Game."

The kids thought the dining area was closed because all the chairs were up. It turns out they were "just cleaning." I must have missed that part. Actually, "cleaning" at 6 pm was probably an acceptable choice because the place was otherwise deserted.

That should've been our signal to find someplace else.

The folks behind the counter were friendly enough. Bless their hearts. Unfortunately, there was nothing fast about this food. Despite the vast prep time, the fries were still neither fresh nor hot. Confusing.

The ice machine was out of ice. Apparently again. It turns out they HAD actually cleaned something.

The burger was hot, which I sincerely appreciated, though it was a bit lacking in the condiments department. They did eventually manage to figure out how to get me a bit of extra mayo. A seemingly impressive feat.

I don't like writing all this. It feels mean. So hear me when I say meaness is not my intent. If you find yourself hungry, but the chairs are up on the table, do yourself a favor and drive on. But who am I helping here? It seems everyone else...

Customer service at the drive thru was HORRIBLE. The young lady, “S” taking the order mumbled everything, which made it very difficult to understand her. Upon arrival to the window, I asked if she could repeat the order back to make sure we had everything, she mouthed, “oh my God,” and then wiped her nose with the sleeve of her shirt…unsanitary. Spoke with a manager at the next window, who wasn’t the most pleasant. She apologized for the previous employee’s behavior, but stated, “I guess everyone is in their feelings today.” Which to me, wasn’t the appropriate response to say. That indicated there had been complaints prior to mine. If so, then that behavior definitely should have been corrected immediately, so that every customer don’t have to continue to endure this nasty attitude from the employee. That young lady definitely should not be working at the drive thru and dealing with customers. There was another young lady with a very bubbly spirit that handed me my order and was a delight to interact with. Kudos to her!!
