Let me start this review by saying that I do hate leaving bad reviews. When I visit a restaurant I want to eat something delicious otherwise I would've stayed home. Also, I have seen plenty of Kitchen Nightmares to know that the quality and condition of the food is the responsibility of the owners and not the servers. Our server was nice and friendly, just sad that the food was not up to par. For starters, the pupusas were filled, not integrated or mixed with the dough, so you end up having a separation of the dough with the filler. This means that the person making them thinks they can make pupusas, but they just don't. They were oily, and one was actually undercooked. The curtido was old and needed more condiments because it didn't have flavor no matter how much tomato sauce I put. I was really craving my yucca con chicharron. Having grown up in LA, I was raised eating Salvadorian food just to say that it is not my first rodeo. The yucca was fried so much that it was completely dried and hard to eat. The chicharron, inedible... they bought chicharrones, and once I ordered them, they most likely placed them in the microwave, which completely dried them and made them rubbery. I tried eating them, but my teeth started hurting. When I brought that to the servers' attention, she came back saying that that's how they are supposed to be 😱😱😱🤔🤔🤔 I am sure they are supposed to be edible, right? She offered to bring me more meaty chicharrones, but at this point, I just wanted to leave. And why not do quality check on their food and actually serve better chicharrones since the beggining??? They saw that I left most of the plate, but they still had the courtesy (being sarcastic, of course)of charging me the $13 bucks for the plate that was left on the table. There comes a point when a restaurant needs to decide to take a loss or lose a customer but a lot did what this one did, they could care less if you come back they just want to charge you... such a shame because this place could be great if they only served good quality food. Just give the customers what you are charging. A true disappointment!!! We are paying the money, so just give us the good quality fresh food you promised. Otherwise, you will lose a lot...
Read moreMy experience was truly unbelievable. We waited 1 hr for our order which was 6 pupusas and Chicken Quesadilla and a Hamburger and fries. After waiting an hour they didn't give us our full order. The burger and fries were missing. So we had to wait another 20 minutes..making it a hour and 20 minutes waiting. After getting home the container that u would think had the quesadilla had a side of beans cream and banana. So I had to go back and get the quesadilla. Talk about ridiculous. Customer service sucks as well as the communication between the people taking orders and the cook. After all this the workers seemed to find it funny that this happened. At this point I definitely had to let them know about themselves. Also the restaurant part let's people get way to drunk They definitely shouldn't keep serving them drinks after they can't even stand. Knowing they gotta drive home. Also one of the young men serving the drinks looks like he's 17 no more then 18. Like this is just all the way wrong. Honestly this place has to get it together. With there B grade. Had I known, I wouldn't have even went there. But definitely...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at El Paraiso Restaurant in San Bernardino, California. This Salvadorean restaurant offers a variety of authentic dishes, all made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I started my meal with the pupusas, which are thick, griddle-cooked tortillas filled with various ingredients, such as cheese, beans, and meat. I ordered the pupusas revueltas, which are filled with a mixture of cheese, beans, and pork. The pupusas were perfectly cooked and the filling was delicious. For my main course, I ordered the plato típico salvadoreño, which is a traditional Salvadoran dish that includes rice, beans, fried plantains, and a choice of meat. I chose the carne asada, which is grilled steak. The steak was tender and flavorful, and the rice and beans were cooked perfectly.I also ordered a side of the yuca frita, which is fried yucca root. The yuca frita was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. It was a delicious and satisfying side dish. For dessert, I ordered the flan, which is a custard dessert. The flan was rich and creamy, and it had a perfect...
