Someone just brought me some apple pie from this spot and...mind you, I'm not very picky when it comes to sweets, but it was revolting. I don't know what they consider "apple pie" but this was definitely not apple pie. There were no apples. It didn't even taste like apple pie filling from can. Apple pie should be sweet, and have flavors of tart apples, butter, brown sugar, and warm spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. There should also be visible apple pieces with a pleasant toothy texture throughout the pie. None of that criteria was met. There were no spices like cinnamon or nutmeg, and the filling just tasted like some bland, slightly mystery fruit flavored, gray jelly. Konjac jelly? The texture was awful. It literally turned my stomach. This place was recommended to my fiance by a fellow chef and foodie so i had high hopes. I thought it would at least be good. My fiance tells me he'd never been there before and when asked by our foodie friend what he wanted, he asked for apple pie because apple pie is safe and "hard to mess up". Our friend admits that he'd never tried the apple pie from here so he had no idea. Apple pie is indeed very difficult to mess up i would say. I would have been happy if it was even ok or passable. It was neither. It was absolutely disgusting. The flavor, texture, and appearance were just so bad My stomach was actually turned from this experience and I actually need time to recover as i write this. I'm not going to give it one star because i haven't tried their other sweets and they might have had a bad day or just really don't know how to make apple pie, but i can not rate this bakery highly as this is my first impression and it...
Read moreOkay, so the sweet potato pie has this sensational chewy kind of ring of baked filling between the crust and the main part of the fluffy pie filling center. OMG I buy the pie just for that heavenly bit of deliciousness! The cheesecake is rich without being heavy and it is best without any kind of topping because the cheesecake itself is so delicious that it doesn't need to hide under a topping and the topping flavor gets lost in the creamy cheesecakiness. The pecan pie is buttery and "molasses-y" without being too sweet like many pecan pies tend to be. There's a sweet potato and pecan pie combo but in my opinion both types of pie should be savoured on their own in order to be truly appreciated. The owners and all is their family who works in the shop with them are so super nice and friendly. Order holiday pies EARLY and be prepared to stand in line to pick them up and DON'T EVEN THINK about walking in to buy a pie on the actual holiday itself because you will not be able to do so because they sell out every holiday, every season, every year.

Read moreThe sweet potatoes pie is the bomb and my favorite. The lemon cake is delicious. I do not care for the peach cobbler. My cobbler was too runny for my liking. Crust was perfect though. Gotta give credit where its due! The owner is one of the sweetest women I have ever spoke too. She will always get my business. I have told so many people about it.
On a not so friendly note, one of her female employees is rude and I was served by her, she had a chip on her shoulder. She didn't believe me when I told her the owner said I can purchase an individual slice of peach cobbler.(They don't sell it by the slice). I told her to ask her to verify the story. The owner told her it was true. The employee followed suit but gave me the tiniest slice and charged me too much for what was given. Normally, I will not return to a business after treatment like that. But the owner is so sweet and doesn't deserve to have a customer not return because of a bad attitude...
