Good food but was a long wait for a table on the patio.update today me and my fiancee went to eat and did not have a great experience. Things started off good but went downhill from there. We got seated right away and the young lady that seated us was nice and brought us drinks right away then informed us our server would be with us soon. Our server came over and seemed nice and let us know her name was Christina. We "thought" she was nice after our first impression but things changed as time went on. When our order came to our table a nice young lady brought it to us to help our server out. We needed refills on our drinks and wanted more bread and butter. When the nice young lady asked if we needed anything we asked her for both things. Then our server came after and asked us if we needed anything and we didn't know if the nice young lady was going to come back for our refills and more bread so we told our server we wanted those things. To our surprise the nice young lady came back and refilled our drinks and brought us more bread and butter. Then a short time later our server came with refills and bread and butter and then she realized that we had already gotten both from someone else. I told her we would take the bread and butter from her because we really like it and normally eat a lot of it while we eat here. She informed us that if we wanted it she was going to have to "charge us extra for it" and so we decided nevermind then. So we eat the bread and butter the young lady brought us then we asked another young lady for more bread and butter and a to go drink for my fiancee. We had already got our bill and were going to pay it but we overhear our server tell the young lady not to take care of our bill yet and that she was going to handle it but said it in a rude way to the nice young lady that was trying to help us. So then after that our server brings us the bread and to go drink with a new bill and tells us here's our new amended bill and then places it on top of the money we placed with our bill and then doesn't even show us the new bill she created and just took it with her. So we waited for our change and our copy of that new "amended" check to come and not only did we not get a copy of that amended bill, we also didn't get any change back. So we assumed she amended our bill and charged us for the bread and butter we asked the young lady for and that's why she wanted to handle the bill herself. So she did not inform us that she was charging us for the bread and butter she gave us and just proceeded to charge us for it instead of asking us if we would like more bread and butter that we would have to pay for it now. In the end we paid for more bread and butter and was not given a choice on it. We've always ate as much bread and butter here as we like and have NEVER been charged for it before. If that's changed now maybe people should be informed about it from now on so they don't get charged for something they had not known they were going to be charged for if they wanted more. Normally when you eat at a restaurant you're told what you're being charged for and provided a copy of that bill and given the option to pay for it or decline it if you would not want to pay extra for it. We got charged for something we did not want to pay extra for and never got to see the amended bill for it and never got any change back and our server never came back after she took our money and the new amended bill she made. She did not come back and just moved on and left us sitting there without even bothering to at least thank us for coming in since she didn't plan on giving us any change or a copy of that amended bill and a receipt for our purchase. Sorry to say this but because of this experience we will not be coming back here...
Read moreThis review should be dated March 2020..... Passed by this spot beginning in 1998 getting lost while working for a Rancho Cucamonga guru in the water treatment business , with a Thomas guide on highland Ave b4 210 extension.. COVID brought plenty of wow moments for the good and mainly bad , was 49 at that time ... I go in wow the atmosphere inside was so romantic lighting sold me ... I'm not a romantic but made me want to study romance lol... Was just the beginning of my love at first sight moment in 2 guys . Next, the pleasant young lady with listening skills manners and a 5 star 5 diamond service smile to go with it asked if I needed to be seated .. unfortunately I ordered to go ... As I'm waiting I saw this blonde lady running around like a chicken w/o a head talking to cooks staff and still smiling accommodating customers... Well I'm not Irish but born lucky .... I must of sat there observing the whole operation remembering Dennys my first job in high school washing dishes . In this little 15 minute movie I was observing was thinking that lady has to be the owner of the owners fam .... I just saw the love she had for her clients be displayed in real time... Back to the lucky part , I see her grab a brown bag from cooks and walked up to register calling out my name ... Your orders ready .... Lasagna dinner with salad extra gbread Parm and crushed pepper extra ranch ... Didn't know was gonna be bomb lasagna served to me by the hardest working person in the spot ... My son loved it ... Next time asked to meet with manager or owner to donate to that hardworking ladies efforts ... Turns out she was manager .. told her " wanted a meeting with owners to give back to her establishment.. my experience here reminded me of my nino, nini and family going to spots like Manuel's tepeyac, my dining experiences as a 13 year old in legendary restaurants that love what they do .. well had a stroke and this is my attempt to circle back with my idea to 10 x sales with events to reward the deserving hard working business owners and bless there staff .... Not for a like or a photo op or a internet influencer but for freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Ps . Don't judge me I had 10000 followers b4 the internet lol Pss. Sorry grammar and English my weakness . Math is my love ask tom cruise from Rainman ,...
Read moreAbsolutely one of, if not my top favorite Italian food in the area! They've been around a long time, for a good reason.
If you order for take out, I highly recommend you add extra bread to your order. It's more addicting than Olive Garden bread sticks!!
I'm a big fan of their baked ziti. The lasagna is good, as is the manicotti. I haven't tried the spaghetti but I've heard no complaints.
The pizza is great, too! It's been a while since I've had the pizza, because pizza is on every street corner. Italian food is not.
Lunch and dinner portion sizes are different btw. The lunch portion is still a lot, sometimes I have a little left over if I can stop myself ;) I split the dinner portion into 2 servings though. It's too much for me to finish in one sitting. I don't eat like I used to, but I can put away a deluxe double cheeseburger fries and shake, or at least half a large/xlarge pizza in one sitting if Im hungry enough. Still, the dinner serving is usually too much for me.
Did I mention the bread? :) I cut it in half, spread butter, microwave for about 10 seconds, and devour.
The dine-in atmosphere is cozy and has a great vibe. There's a small bar as you walk in with maybe 6 seats and sports on the TV. I don't go to restaurants to sit at the bar unless it's in an airport, but it's a bonus addition for people who do that.
Oh, and if it's your first time going there, you'll probably overshoot the driveway and have to turn around haha. I do it occasionally still. There's single row parking when you pull into the driveway, but there is PLENTY of parking. If you continue toward the back of the building, you'll see a large parking lot at the top. I mention this because the slope of parking lot at the entrance and the building both can obscure the larger parking area to the rear and give the impression that there's less parking than there really is.
You can order online for pickup, which is nice for a non chain restaurant.
I love this place and though I'm not in that area anymore as part of my routine, I still make the 15-20 minute drive (depends on casino traffic) from North San Bernardino, to get food here.
If you like Italian food,...
