I visited tonight 9/23 for a in town honeymoon dinner (married 9/21), was in a great mood entering very upset exiting. We tried to pay with gift cards we received and was told they declined. I know they had money on them because I checked them before handing them to waiter. $75 in gift cards $5 cash. Because they said the cards didn't go through we paid in cash. When I asked for a receipt they gave me the waiter ticket/bill, after yelling at me that I had the bill, I told them "no, this is the bill, I need a cash register receipt" they at that time then said they don't have receipts. I wonder, do they never give their customers receipts? I believe there was no reason for them to get haughty with me, and start yelling out to the other patrons that I was being rude. For all I knew I may be paying twice for the dinner. Ended up the waiter had not entered the card properly therefore it was declined. So he was berating me for his mistake. We thought we had found a place we could go for a good steak, instead we will never go back. The waiter got a $13.00 tip but we won't be back. food was good, I thought the service was good until time to pay. They didn't process my gift cards correctly (I found out later) they got rude with me when I wanted a receipt to prove my cash payment, yelled at me. All I needed was to know/make sure I didn't pay twice. They lost a good customer a...

We had our first experience at Ye Olde Lamplighter last night and it was well worth it. My husband and I both enjoyed ourselves. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. The reservations were full, but we were able to get a spot in the bus, which was perfect. It was in and I love that the decorations the staff were very friendly and alternative. We had the ribeye and the prime rib also which were good to perfection. The ribeye had wonderful normal and the prime rib had favor through and through. The clam chowder was delectable in the garlic bread was divine simple, but tasty. we will definitely be back again. I do suggest making reservations, although they will do their best to accommodate if you walk in, but there’s no guarantees. The location is what it is, but the restaurant is well worth it. A fine spot in San Bernardino to continue to give back to our community and keep small...

The only reason I'm leaning 4.5 instead of 5 is the price, however at this point the prices seem great for the quality of food here. The bar is both open and staffed with capable tenders, kitchen staff is talented and has yet to disappoint yet. Rest of the waiting staff you can tell really enjoys their time there and their service tends to reflect that. Was super worried when I heard this place entered new ownership, but the staff seems happy, the food quality is the same, and the menu is unchanged. Would you rather spend 40 on a rack of lamb that looks and tastes like you drove 50 miles out of town for it and payed twice as much, or would you rather spend the 40 on two McDonalds meals. If you're looking for a date spot in an otherwise dry city, this is a spot for you. Thank you for a lovely Valentines day and keep up...

Came here after work on a Friday with my wife, and was not sure what to expect because it looks so low-key and the lights are so dim. My wife got a lemon drop and the bartender made it really well! I got a hangar 24 , pretty good selection. I was in thee mood for a steak so I tried the prime rib? ( my first time ever having it ,period) I honestly did not enjoy it, but this may have been my fault for experimenting with this dish since I was t even sure if I would like prime rib. I may come back for the burgers though, they sound good judging by the description (1/2 lb burgers) and toppings they offer. I love the dim east of lights and the fact that when you are in there you forget you are on 40th and waterman. The booths are nice and the restaurant itself seems sophisticated in many ways.

This is truly a hidden gem if you're traveling to Lake Arrowhead, twisty path. We attended a social distancing wedding which meant, no Reception. So we navigated back down the mountain and decided to eat at Ye Olde Lamplighter. They didn't disappoint!! Every dish was fantastic; the baked brie plate was my absolute favorite! I added a picture of this excellent dish! Stop here on your travels, and you will be glad you did!
