Armando's was close to my new marketing internship in 2021.
With a new internship, I decided to celebrate and try out some lunch eats around the area.
I love Mexican food, so I am always down to try a new spot. This was in a shopping center right across the street from Qualcomm meaning that it was probably popular with the developers.
I got it before my shift started and chose huevos rancheros which is a great vegetarian meal that usually at Mexican spots. I got a side of refried beans, but I believe they made a mistake with giving me rice too. I did not tell them about it because I did not want to make a big deal.

The first time it was a blue rubbery object, basically a piece of rubber, on the second time I found a piece of clear plastic about a half an inch size, and the third time I found a strip of brown plastic about the same size of the second time, only this time it was rectangular. Every time It happened it turned my stomach upside down and ruined my lunch. You might ask why do I keep going there, well for sure I will never go back so there will not be a fourth time. I think the cooks are too careless and when they open the packages of vegetables or the torrillas they drop the pieces of plastic in the food accidentally but still, it is a bad experience to the consumer. I called them the second time it happened and let them know, they told me they will be more careful but I guess they are still not being...

Now, the food? Unreal. The tacos are next-level—perfectly seasoned, juicy fillings wrapped in fresh, warm tortillas that taste homemade (because they probably are). Each bite feels like a love letter to flavor. The burritos? Absolute perfection. They’re the just-right size—hearty, but not heavy—and packed with flavor in every bite. No filler, just fire. And let’s talk about the salsa. Whether you like it smoky, spicy, or zesty, their salsa game is elite. Honestly, it deserves its own cult following.
This isn’t just a taco shop—it’s a sanctuary for your taste buds, and a reminder that good food + good people = magic. Do yourself a favor: come hungry, and...
