This place is a real hidden gem! Really beautiful aesthetic and absolutely phenomenal food as well ! Service was also really nice and the server kept checking on us .
We went for dinner on a Wednesday evening and it was actually really full so that's a very good sign for sure.
Husband got Oaxacan Spritz cocktail and here said it was really nice.
Market Lettuce Salad (with roasted delicata squash, pickled blueberries, field greens, mint, hazelnut dukkh) I ordered the salad with grilled chicken and it was absolutely delicious. The roasted delicata squash and the pickled blueberries went so well together. The mint was a nice special touch as well. It comes with some of vinaigrette but I didn't use of it cuz I just didn't feel the need. And also wanted to save on some calories. The only the only thing I would change is having grilled chicken breast instead of chicken thigh. They give chicken thigh on this and it felt like it was quite fatty and greasy and just added unnecessary calories. Probably something to request specifically.
Delicata Squash Fritto (with mint, dill, pecorino sardo, hot honey, black pepper) This is battered and fried delicata squash. Everyone on the table really enjoyed this one. I tried a little bit and the crunchiness and sweetness and savoriness together was quite nice. I was hoping the hot honey flavor would come out a little more but this was nice either way.
Ezzo Pepperoni Pizza (tomato, garlic, chili, cilantro, chive, mozzarella, sesame seed crust) I can totally see why this was such a hyped item. Everyone on the table was really excited about this one, especially because of that sesame seed crust. Quite a good creative Pizza here. Crust was nice and fresh and soft and overall the pizza was really nice. Everyone enjoyed.
Herb Roasted Jidori Chicken (with toasted levain, frisée, mustard jus) Honestly, the chicken here itself was phenomenal! Such lovely soft meat and the seasoning was also really nice. It didn't seem to oily or greasy either which was a good sign. I think the oil was mostly involved in the mustard jus. What we really didn't like about this was the frisée on the bottom. The greens were relatively bitter and a little hard and just didn't go well with the chicken. Maybe just some plain mixed greens would have been better. We ended up leaving ksot of those frisée greens as is.
Anson Mills Polenta (with wild mushrooms, manchego, soft egg, braised escarole) It really looks creamy and presentation on this was top notch. I didn't try any but the table said it was really lovely. Everything was finished so that's a good sign.
Cinnamon Crunch Donuts - WOW!! We were actually quite hesitant to order donuts at a restaurant for dessert, but oh man this was beautiful! Such soft and fluffy Donuts and the best part is they were actually warm! So just pictures soft and doughy and pillowy and WARM Donuts with a cinnamon sugar coating and slightly sweet vanilla sauce to go on the side. 10 on...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at BoujieMana, a culinary gem that has quickly become my new favorite restaurant. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and sophistication, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience.
Let's start with the stars of the show: the hummus and tzatziki. BoujieMana has elevated these classic Mediterranean dips to an art form. The hummus, velvety smooth and rich in flavor, is a triumph of simplicity and quality ingredients. Paired with warm, pillowy pita bread, it's a heavenly marriage of texture and taste. The tzatziki, with its perfect balance of tangy yogurt and fresh herbs, is a refreshing delight that adds a zesty kick to every bite. These appetizers alone are reason enough to make BoujieMana a destination for food enthusiasts.
On to the main course we ordered the pizza, an unexpected yet delightful addition to BoujieMana's repertoire. The crust, thin and crisp, serves as the perfect canvas for a symphony of flavors. The toppings, a harmonious blend of fresh ingredients, showcase the kitchen's dedication to quality. Each slice is a celebration of balance, with the cheese-to-sauce ratio achieving perfection. BoujieMana's pizza is a revelation, standing tall among the best in town.
But what really blew me away were the drinks, a category where BoujeMana truly shines. The cocktail list is a masterful curation of flavors and techniques that rival even the most prestigious establishments, such as Eleven Madison Park. Each concoction is a work of art, with expertly balanced ingredients and creative presentations. The mixologists at BoujeMana have crafted a menu that seamlessly blends innovation with tradition. Whether you prefer a classic cocktail or a daring concoction such as their PB&J Ol Fashioned, BoujieMana's bar has something to satisfy every palate.
What sets BoujieMana apart is not just the exceptional food and drinks but also the impeccable service. The staff exudes passion for their craft, providing attentive and friendly service without ever feeling intrusive. The attention to detail, from the elegant table settings to the knowledgeable recommendations, enhances the overall...
Read moreI always love a good Mediterranean cuisine. My coworker suggested that we go out to dinner here on his wife's recommendation. I cannot say anything bad about this place. I rated five stars for food, service, and atmosphere for a reason.
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted and welcomed as if we were family. I had a few questions about what was going on outside and they were answered with smiles. I did not get the names of everybody that served us, but every single person we interacted with was friendly and attentive. Hannah, our server, was kind and patient. The young man that cleared plates and filled up our waters was so attentive that my water never made it to the bottom of the glass.
The atmosphere was not overly loud, and the the interior design of the place was welcoming and not too compact. The lighting was gorgeous as well as the actual artwork. Not that I go to a place for art, but it just made everything so rounded out that I have to mention it.
If I were to say try any one thing (We didn't eat everything obviously) It would be the pita and hummus. The rest of the food was amazing as well but it stood out as it was super fluffy.
I also noticed that the owner was walking around checking on tables despite the fact that he was eating dinner with friends, or business partners. Seeing that he took his time away from his dinner to check on other people was very uplifting.
When I signed my check, the pen that they gave me to use was smooth, and I made a comment that I really liked it. They told me to keep it. They brought me a couple other items as well. I made it a point when I got back to my hotel to call back and see if the owner was available for a quick chat, The person that answered the phone was joyous and did not seem at all intimidated by the fact that the owner was being asked for, which makes me think that there is a great environment for the employees there as well. When the owner, Sammer(spelling I hope is correct) answered and was just as friendly as I would expect from the rest of the environment. I felt so good about my experience that I felt it was important to give him a call and let him know. I will definitely be returning here next time I'm...
